Shame that a lot of the game is pretty difficult, but the writing is definitely something to be praised. You don't see that very often in games. The Last of Us is probably the most recent one.

I noticed that your list is mostly console games, with a few older PC games. Have you gotten into PC gaming recently? There are a lot of games that are definitely worth your time and there are a ton of resources that can help you find games if you're interested. Browser/Flash games are pretty great, too. I'd probably put a couple on my top 100 list.



Probably the opposite of Grim Fandango, in that the writing is utter garbage, but the game itself is quite fun.

I have a gaming PC but with the exception of Crysis, Half Life 2 Episode 2 and Portal 2 I havn't really found a game to captivate my interest in modern PC gaming. There have been a few indies every now and then but i'm not sure modern PC gaming is really for me.

Good list. You are missing Dark Souls and God Hand... I still think about God Hand and RE4 many years after completion. For me those games are true once in a lifetime classics.

Yeah, it can hard to find a great PC game. Especially one that isn't already on a console. Everybody and their dog has made a free PC game at this point and trying to dig through all of that can be pretty daunting. But there's a game out there you'll like, I can guarantee that.

Consoles are pretty great, though. I'm sure my list would be similar to yours, in that most of my favourite games are console games. First 5 I can think of:

1. Super Smash Bros. Melee
2. Legend of Zelda: A Link To The Past
3. Team Fortress 2
4. Red Dead Redemption
5. God of War 2

I tried to limit it to one per genre, although I think 2 and 4 could both be "action-adventure."
