Mythbusters vs Dirty Jobs. FIGHT!

Mythbusters today suffers from the same problem as Penn and Teller's Bullshit: both shows have gone on long enough that they have already done the most interesting topics they can cover, but at the same time they are both popular shows, so they kinda have to keep finding new shit.

They're still doing some interesting ones. It was cool to see that an enclosed truck doesn't change weight if birds inside it are on the ground or in the air. Sure the laws of physics tells you that, but its cool to actually see it firsthand.

Yeah, the results may not always be the interesting part, but the way they set up their tests and stuff like that. The show is still great, even if they already did their best myths during the first season.

Early Mythbusters > Dirty Jobs > Newer Mythbusters>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Build It Bigger

Danny Forster is annoying as hell.

I don't like how one moment Mike Rowe is all grizzled and badass for Deadliest Catch and the next he's all lighthearted and cracking jokes for Dirty Jobs. Makes both seem fake to me.

Er, why? One is scripted, one is improvised for the most part (or at the very least designed to appear improvised).

I hate to break it to you but most narrators are not deadly serious in real life...

Mythbusters is way more awesome still, although it has seemed to me lately that they're sorta running out of interesting myths to cover.

Dirty Jobs is cool tho

Mythbusters for me. I've seen some shit in Dirty Jobs that nearly makes me hurl. But I guess that's part of it's appeal for some people.

The first Dirty Job I ever saw was the one where they went to the sewage facility In South San Francisco... Since then everything else on that show has paled in the grossness comparison....

So Mythbusters by a county mile

newer Mythbuster´s suck balls :( they focus waaayy too much on physic and it´s boring sometimes (which hits harder, a frozen chicken or a regular chicken? v_v stupid )

I mean that four episode miniseries where he was drinking with the captains. He had like a 2 week's growth beard and was trying so hard to be one of the them.

On pure entertainment value though:

Old Mythbusters > Old Dirty Jobs > New Dirty Jobs > New Mythbusters

otherwise:

Kari > Everyone else.

Kari Sucks. Scottie was much hotter.

Saw an episode of Dirty Jobs last night I hadn't seen. Mike's camera crew crashed an airboat owned by the guy that they were doing the job for. Flipped the damn thing, and all their camera gear went over board. MIke citing that they ruined 100k worth of equipment.

But, I bet we can all agree on how much this show sucks. It's like Myth Busters for special Ed kids.

I like Myth Busters more, even though it feels like they are running out of material. The hosts of Myth Busters can be annoying, but they dont even come close to the whiny cunt that is Mike Rowe. "Whaaa this job is so dirty, whaaa." We get it, the job is the dirty, the name of the show is dirty jobs. I dont need to hear him cry 20 times every episode about it.

Well, it is a show for kids. An awful, awful show for kids, but still...
