Namco Bandai Announce Super Heroine Chronicle! PS3 & PSV

I saw this news last night, which seems way too early for a Famitsu leak. The cast list is just all over the place. Higurashi barely fits in at all.

The name Super Heroine Chronicle appeared in January as a rumored PSP game. I think that rumor had stuff like Strike Witches, Nanoha, Madoka, even Tenchi Muyo.

Oh Jesus I would import that so hard. The only person in the OP's roster I even recognize is Digiko. :(

Houki? Bah, needs Char!

Also, it's kind of weird that that currently available character list is a bunch of modern series, one slightly older but not that old one (DiGi Charat), and... one from over 20 years ago (Dream Hunter Rem)? I presume the full list will have more older stuff, or else that wouldn't make much sense.

The cast list really reminds me of Heroes Phantasia (the PSP game with Keroro, My HiME, Scryed, Darker than Black). Just because of how weird it is. I imagine they just got the series they could for cheap.

I dunno if they'll announce more series, but they'll definitely announce more characters. So you Char fans can expect to see her show up at some point.

Holy fuck. I'm going to have to import it if that rumors true.

I guess Higurashi might work out if they really go all out in terms of exaggerating the action, reaction faces included,, but it'd still feel a little weird.

Concerning those rumors...I don't know about Tenchi Muyo, but it would obviously make a lot of sense to include Nanoha and Madoka.

Spiral chaos are really good games, basically super robot wars with boobs and armor destruction(not a fanservice only thing but a feature that add strategy to the fights).
Imo queen's gate characters are too variegated to blend well, so i prefer queen's blade(but i watched the series...), even if in qg you can play(and see half naked lol) as ivy from soul calibur, may from kof, lili from tekken, dizzy from guilty gear, noel from blazblue and many more.
I would like those games here.

I know there's no way this is the full roster, didn't it take forever for some super-obvious characters to get announced for the Shonen Jump All-Stars game? On the other hand, this is the lineup they're announcing it with?

I think this is the equivalent of having a Crossover of Tv Heroines and having in the list some Baywatch characters, Alice from Luther and Lucille Bluth.

Is bad and they should feel about it.

Calling it now: Since they had the guts to go with Houki and not our favorite French girl, they will base the Nanoha material entirely on Vivid and it will cause meltdown.

At least it'll be Vivid, though.

I mean, had they chosen Britain... we'd know that we're getting Force.

SRW typically reveals all the series at once, so I doubt they'll add anything beyond what's already shown. I was kinda hoping for a magical girl taisen or something, so this is kind of disappointing...

Maybe if this does well they'll be able to move on to more popular or classic series.

I know I'd like to see the crossover implied by Dai Mahou Touge according to which Punie's mother (who'd be the final boss or close to that) would have faced some early magical girl characters like Akko, Aally the witch, Meg, and Minky Momo. She could get a special move where she drives a toy truck at the victim.

Are japanese really so obsessed by heroines, idols, pants etc? Almost every game made for japan only is like this, it's embarassing imo.

West maybe is obsessed with dudebros, but that is more "normal" since action movies have dudebros.

Are today japanese media so full of idols? :(

Considering that the west is totally ignoring heroines that are not called lara croft ( see remember me having trouble because the main character was a girl ), japan is not the problem here since they are capable of outputting things from both genders without trouble.

I was not talking about games that aim to a western localization, but games that are made for japan and japanese people only, many(if not most) of them are full of idols, pants etc!
Is this what japanese people really want?

You mean Japanese people in general? Of course not. The sales of those games in Japan are about what those same games sell in the US, they're extremely niche. The Yakuza series is literally more than ten times more popular than most of what you listed.

I guess you are right, but the ever growing number of this kind of games is worrying me :(

This is pretty OT I guess but the title of this game makes me wish someone would make a JRPG or WRPG based on superheroes. That would be an interesting change of pace.
