Namco Bandai games shipped/expected numbers

Compare that to Atlus who had very modest expectations for Demon's Souls and gave it the go ahead anyway and the sales ended up blowing them away.
Uh... it's a bit of a different scenario when you're a small localization company who sells themselves on doing things on the cheap and selling to a very small but dedicated audience and you have a hit (that you didn't make) that gets away from you versus being a big publisher who wants to recoup their investment into development of a game and IP you have at least some ownership in.

There are many examples you can choose; Demon's Souls is not one of them.

Was thinking the same thing. Pretty delusional to think that'd sell 1mil.
Hey, let Namco believe that the Turbo Grafx-16 was the winner of the 16-bit era and that everyone and their moms are clamoring for a new Splatterhouse game!

Enslaved did pretty well.
I'll definitely be one of those 200,000 more copies Namco hopes to sell... once a price-drop hits. :o

Namco was really stupid not to put PS Move support in Majin. Move could have been a nice marketing point for that game.

Is Enslaved even going to sell the 800.000 copies Namco apparentely shipped? I thought it flopped badly pretty much everywhere.
800.000 and every other number are FY expectations. We will know what they will really manage to ship once FY ends.
