I've been addicted for some time to the all kinds of awesome Jets'n'guns (buy this game), but it is not a long game and I think it's time to look for another adrenaline pumping little shooter. The biggest problem is that it is hard to find good space shooters in English or at least with decent resolutions.

Any ideas? Raptor is still a great game, but the sound is all wonky with my sound card and there's no music, not to mention it looks like poop with my LCD screen

Sorry, I can't help with recommendations but thanks for pointing me towards Jets'n'Guns.
The soundtrack has been on my playlist for months, I found it on Machinae Supremacy's site but I'd never seen the game before. That music helped me nail all 12 achievements on Geometry Wars

Too many pretty good shooters out there...and Jets was the one I was going to list once I read the topic title, too.

I've just played the Demon Star/Secret Missions demos and they are damn sweet. Everybody grab them, you don't don't what you are missing.

I've always wondered how the heck you're supposed to play games like that, it looks impossible to dodge all those bullets.

Also, sorry for resurrecting an old thread, but I was thinking of digging out my Tyrian 2000 CD and was just wondering if there's anything special I'd need to do to get it to run on XP.
