So, in a way, Nappa does the most damage in the show. I give him the credit for Yamcha's death(even though saibamen off him. But he planted the damn things), Chaotzu blows himself up and fails to take Nappa with him, right before he was gonna plow him in jagged rocks, rips Tien's arm off and he dies after another failed, yet admirable attempt, and last but not least kills Piccolo/Kami with that lethal mouth fireball. Hell, he paralyzed Krillen and woulda got Gohan if Goku didn't show up. Not to mention wiping off the military/media during his 3 hour break.

No one say Buu, that doesn't count since there in him.

all those guys are jobbers. they wanted to make nappa ridiculous so that when goku came by and kicked his ass, we'd finally realize goku was stronger than everyone else.

What show are you talking about?

Shame Gohan was to scared to really do damage to Nappa. He seemed like their ace but just didn't help till later.

Yeah I wonder what would happen if he manages to survive attacks and did the "Saiyan becomes stronger after experiencing a near-death experience"

They were really stupid not to gang up on him all at once. It always seemed to work for the random henchmen in the movies, if only for a little while. By the time they bother employing any strategy, it's just Picollo and Krillin left.

Buu blew up the whole damn Earth. This was after they were out of him. Killed Gohan, Trunks, Piccolo and Goten.

And the Z-Fighters' families, etc.

Buu also pretty much killed 99% of the world's population before he blew it up, when he first arrived on Kame's lookout.

Cell technically killed 17, 16, Trunks, Goku, King Kai, Bubbles, and Gregory. On top of the thousands he killed in the few towns he wiped out.

He also killed Trunks of his own timeline.

Cell kills Trunks twice, Trunks kills Cell twice (baby cell & Cell of his own timeline).

Buu pretty much kills almost everybody. There's not much denying that.

Cell's kill count probably hits tens of thousands, since he was wiping out entire islands and cities looking for 18.

At least in Dragon Ball, it seemed like everyone was near the same levels and had a chance to contribute to the battles. In Dragon Ball Z once they hit Super Saiyan levels, a lot of the fighters get left behind.

Actually DB had that problem too. After their debut saga, the rival would generally fall off the map, it just never seemed that way due to the omnipresence of tournaments.

A lot? You mean all of them who isn't related to Goku or Vegeta.

Tien finally making a return only to get one shotted right away was one of the best comedic moments of the series.

How is that the unpopular opinion? Everyone loves the adventure of Dragon Ball. It's probably why I like One Piece so much. Best of both worlds.

I dunno, it seems like more people grew up watching Z and think Dragon Ball is boring by comparison. I'm reading the manga right now and it seems to go slowly then quickly downhill once Goku becomes an adult.
