//: NASL Starcraft 2 League - Season 2

If Thorzain spends at least 3 months in Korea and goes through the grueling process of breaking down his mechanics and rebuilding them until he has Korean mechanics and high APM, he can become an even stronger player.

Sjow is another player who's got potential but plays with really low APM so he's never going to get to the top tier.

It's not being elitist. It's having seen terran played to its full potential, and see other players just not reaching that level, even if they end up winning.

Thorzain is very good, and can be competitive in Korea...

Strelok looks like months old Terran play. No drop harass whatsoever

Yeah, his play does seem pretty clunky.

Edit: that seems like more of a "classic Idra mistake" at this point: making terrible muta vs. marine trades.

Series did have the feel of an "EG PRESENTS: Why Idra is awesome" clinic in the end.

That struck me as good trading. Strelok kept leaving small groups of marines (and medivacs) exposed
Oh yeah, he made plenty of good pick-offs, but then he kind of buttheaded the secondary marine blob with them there toward the end. But I guess he was so far ahead it didn't matter.

lol idra just telling it like it is.. "me and puma are better than all of them." Good answer. This is why Idras a fan favorite, he doesn't give a rats ass

He is really good, but he'll never been competitive in Korea with such low APM. He had great team league matches, but in Code A he was just obliterated.

Pay attention to everything Puma does if you want to learn something. Then watch GSL in 37 minutes to see a Finals + good casters + a good ZvT er who is 16.

Why isn't Puma in the GSL?

He's not good enough to qualify despite trying almost every time since it started in 2010.

In particular, he's weak against Korean Terrans I think, and you can't be weak against Korean Terrans if you're going to try and play GSL.

Is there a Terran in this next matchup? I don't know any of these pros

Watch puma. He is a very aggressive terran with his own distinct style and i think you will enjoy his style of play.

Even though he may seem a little cheesy i think i would like to play a similar style if i went terran.

I think his missed some of the recent code A qualifiers to concentrate on overseas events (maybe i'm wrong here). That plus it's just really hard to qualify even if you're good. Just look how long it took the likes of bomber.

I think if puma wanted he could definitely qualify for code A though.

He isnt good enough?

:p

Dude traveled alot and probably missed most of the qualifiers and GSL wont seed him with code A slot from MLG since he isnt foreigner.

He tried every GSL qualifier before he won NASL S1, and most of the GSL qualifiers after that. He has never once qualified.

Puma is good overseas, but in Korea he's nothing special.

Even Puma's 2 tournament wins were against MC and doing 1/1/1 before the patch to boost Immortal range, back when 1/1/1 from a Korean in TvP was an auto-win.

I figured he would at least be able to qualify one time for Code A even though it is brutally challenging. I thought he just was focusing on foreign tournaments or something.

would only be true if either one of them wins this...

NOTE: are they giving Sheth pockey sticks to eat? and is the whole seating area empty?

It's smaller than a WCG crowd since at least WCG has the people who play FIFA, CS, etc. who come over to watch SC after. Sad. :[

It's hilarious how bad Gretorps intros are. The pacing, volume and emphasis on words just seems completely random. It's almost like listening to someone who has English as their second language.

Whos dick did he suck to become such an important part of the NASL? He clearly hasn't been chose for his talent or popularity so i honestly wonder how this happened.

I wonder if its the opposite. he is the biggest named star that is willing to do the job for the whole season...lol

But ya his intros are baaaaaaaaaad. Stumbling on words, its like they dont know how to do another take of the voice over lol.

The whole thing just reeks of a rich kid with no ability and a lot of even less-talented friends. But hey, make the best of it, right?

Nobody knew who he was before NASL. There is no way gretorp was the only one willing to do the job full-time.

Moletrap is terrible and yes, he would've been better than Gretorp.

Sigh I guess you dont get what Im saying. I know tons of people could do better but I imagine no one wants to fucking touch this for the regular season besides lesser known people like orb/diggity/etc.

If the pay is good enough, I'm sure they would do it. Moletrap is doing Code A for probably less pay than NASL, and he had to move to Korea to get that job.

Yet they know him now...who else that is bigger name than him would do it? Moletrap?

But Gretorp is only known in the sense that the community hates him and he no doubt turns viewers away.

They would probably be better off just having some no name commentators like hazaro do the job lol.

Surely there must be someone else they can get. Then again you might be right and that is just one more reason why these overly long seasons are terrible.

Might be less pay for free cost of living is nice...NASL is LA area... :/

And people actually watch it lolol
