Nathan Drake Didn't Kill a Security Guard in UC2

Since this is always the go-to evidence of "Nathan Drake is a psychopath killer" discussions and derails, I'd like to point out that the developers took this into consideration when Drake is forced to throw a guard off the museum in Turkey.

You can see here that the guard is swimming away safely. http://youtu.be/95HtftWzLJc?t=16m25s

So next time anyone feels the need to post concerns for a fake computer person, make sure fake computer person is fakely safe, not fakely dead.

Sure, but all those knock-out darts had to be bad for them.

yeah but he's killed like at least a few hundred people by the end of golden abyss/UC3. Dude was looking for treasure but he should've dug some shallow gravesites instead.

Now, is Drake racist? Why is the antagonist never from the USA?

The whole argument is stupid, even if it's trying to be a joke. Ranks up there with things like "Mario is surprisingly dark!"

Like, the point isn't "This guy Drake tried to kill is fine, so as a character, he's morally good"

It is, as alluded to before, American DBZ-levels of childish assurance

I mean, does it actually bother you Drake kills a bunch of people? If no, that's fine, that doesn't actually make you a psychopath. But trying to argue that he doesn't kill a whoooole bunch of people, and the anime dub quality in which they show he's never tried to kill anyone who is innocent, is so fucking asinine.

The Whole Nathan Drake is a psychopath thing is one of the most absurd arguments I've ever read. It's a game people, I mean seriously? I suppose Lara Croft is also a psychopath, and heck, pretty much every gaming protagonist ever.

I've posted about this when the game comes out. It makes no sense why Drake would give a shit about these faceless, nameless, random guards and decide to go stealth when he goes around killing every single other person in the game thereafter.

The introduced the tranquilizers just for this part of the game and never bring it up ever again. Like, why?

I'm sure Amy Hennig Said that she saw it as when Drake killed say, 10 blokes in a shoot out in the game, he was actually only killing 1 or 2.

edit - well museum guards aren't hurting no one. The rest of them are fair game.

One of those guards had an allergic reaction and died.. Drake is a murderer he has destroyed hundreds of families accept it and move on with your life.

Guards of museum = innocent, all other enemies = part of a vicious clan that are out to grant its psychopathic leader
immortality

...You know, at least that's what they were going for.

The best is playing the Arkham games and hanging people from their feet then cutting the ropes to have them fall from a fatal height onto their necks

No killing, right Batman?

Because they're security guards at a museum. They're not "bad guys."

Some stealth games actually count any kills that occur as a result of your actions as your fault.

Like leaving a guard on a slanted roof and him falling to his death.

so he throws someone to their potential death...still a cool dude.

It is "Thank god it's Sunday and the city is empty" stupid.

It is "I see their parachutes, they're okay" stupid.

Why the fuck would that city have been empty on a sunday anyways? People go out on sundays all the time. Further, you could see the people watching them rise from their space pods!
