Naughty Dog touring SpaceX!

Even though it'll no doubt be awesome, I'm not ready to leave Uncharted behind. Hmm...maybe Drake in space? They tried to top a train wreck with a plane crash, so next step would be a space rocket.

I always wanted the MGS game about the Boss' exploits in space. KojiPro have failed me, and failed us as a culture, only Naughty Dog can save us now.

A Naughty Dog employee has made himself a space helmet:

adding more fuel to the fire? Are they making a space marine game?

hehe

Cowboy Bebop by ND would be too good to be true. It won't happen. It should and would be better than anything announced for any system. But it ain't going to happen sadly.

when Sony ask ND to make a shooter, the reason they pick pulp action theme is because there's too many other military dudebro game. if they're making a new shooter IP, I think they'll stay away from the overused space marine trope unless they can differentiate it somehow.

I have faith in ND

Sci-Fi Action/Horror would be lovely.

I'll also take a slower burn on pacing, setting if they took something along the lines of "Fire in the Sky" as inspiration.

Naughty Dog can literally whatever they want. They will do whatever it is the best.

Sony can still make some really basic suggestion really. before they settle with Uncharted, ND have ideas for a more fantasy setting like LoTR which if they go through with that setting, the game probably won't become a shooter like Uncharted.

after the success of Uncharted and TLoU now, I do think ND can do whatever game/genre they want and Sony will support them, they've earned it.

I do not think that is how it works at all.

I doubt anyone wearing a suit walks into ND's offices and starts telling them to make any specific type of game. It is all up to ND what they make.

But I second the " dudebro mother F'in mother f'er " space marine thing being overdone to hell and back. It's time for a more methodical space action game I think only ND could provide for the gaming world.

I never thought I would CARE as much about the characters in a zombie apocolypse game as I did in TLOU. Brilliance all around. Apply that formula in space? Maybe a " lost in space " type of theme? could be cool.

Naughty Dog could just release a game with no previous press coverage, in a plain brown wrapper and I'd buy it at release.

Now I can't stop thinking about a ND fantasy game.

"We were talking about a more 'realistic' game in terms of how it was modeled and rendered but the concepts were much more far out. One was a forest world where the antagonists lived underground," Don Poole, former Naughty Dog environment modeler told Play Magazine in a recent issue.

"It had elements of Tolkien in for sure. Sony kept pushing for a more realistic game in all respects. The market had changed a lot by then. The demographic was older and gritty shooters were really dominating. Sony wanted very much to get into that market share, it pushed all of its developers in this direction."

Gaaahhh I just want to know what all these studios are working on. I mean there is not a single thing out from any of the major first party teams at Sony. Wonder how they are planning things I mean they know that the first million consoles they produce will be sold regardless and might unavailable for many post the holidays. Will they just bombard the media with games when the demand starts to fall?

Look at MS they have shown Halo is in the making, Titanfall, Fable... All of their major franchises except gears if there will be another one.

Sony has shown InFamous and Killzone sure but there is so much more talent behind the drapes. Also SSM and ND have more than one team each.

VGA can´t come soon enough...

I can´t say that if this was one of the reasons for TLoU it was a bad call but would have loved to see that game.

imo, the sony suggestion thing like we want a shooter is just a very broad term that we can't say if it was a bad call or not. in the end, ND still get to make a game they want with Uncharted. I think ND is a pretty versatile studio. whether they make fantasy game, or shooter, it'll still be a good game.

Yeah I believe so too but I really loved TLoU so it would be really hard to top it even though I am a big fantasy fan also.

This is the same combo where Sony gave zero creative notes when TLoU was being made. I don't know if that means as much as I think it means but, it has to mean something. It's not like their games cost an arm and a leg to make either. The most common number I keep hearing for all Sony games that divulge numbers is $20 Million.

Straight up NO to working on Vita. Disappointing but expected.

ND is like the console gods of the world. Even though it was obvious they would never work on Vita, you can always hold out hope for maybe a Vita/PS4 cross play type game.

It is comforting knowing whatever ND makes on PS4 I will enjoy on my Vita via remote play though lol.

From today's U3 two year anniversary AMA :

Will Uncharted 4 happen on PS4? Also, what do you think of the PS4 in general?

[–]Cog-NDUncharted 3

If I said anything about what we're doing right now it wouldn't be exciting.

The PS4 is awesome. It gives us the chance to do a lot of things we've been talking about for some time. You'll be in awe when you play it.

I hope they're making the game actually, but I'm glad some other people noticed some familiar likenesses. This only serves to corroborate the fact that Naughty Dog decided to ape celebrities likenesses as a general operating procedure for those still in denial of the Ellen Page incident.
