These trailers are weak af. Show the damn game and explain monetization behind it.
That will scare off potential buyers tho!These trailers are weak af. Show the damn game and explain monetization behind it.

Wow, I wish I got that deal. Been buying 2k since 2k8 and I’ve routinely spent 400-500 bucks a year. I’m probably a mini whale or something so I dont get the same treatment. lolI will never forget 2k sending me a code for 2k20 for free like two months after the game came out in hopes I’d spend $ on vc, before this I had bought 2k every year since 2013. They are so scummy and predatory with their micro transactions I couldn’t help but laugh at them and not install it.
Dude it confused me so bad, I thought it was a scam at first but then I looked on twitter and shit and I wasn't the only one... so bizarre.Wow, I wish I got that deal. With every new NBA 2K release, I wonder the same thing - why does this game look worse than NBA 2K14? I mean, the animations and faces may have improved, but the lighting back then was off the charts and made the game look so much better. I guess the resources went towards monetizing the franchise to high hell.
Hopefully, they release a next-gen trailer as impactful as this one was years ago;
I remember being absolutely floored by this and watching it over and over...and somehow the actual game lived up to this visually.

Perhaps, but I can't think of another franchise of sports games that has regressed visually quite like that. They should have tweaked it with the existing lighting engine and worked from there...and yeah, I did something similar. I brought my PS4 and 2K14 over to a friend's house when it came out, and it convinced him to buy the system, despite not being a bball fan at all.Maybe they already achieved what they could achieve on current gen hardware and everything since then has been minor tweaks because they have to put out *something*. It's not like with FIFA/PES where their games barely look better than previous gen until 2 or 3 years into the cycle. NBA 2K14 was one of those games I used back in the day to show my family "Hey look how powerful this console is" despite not really enjoying basketball games.
It's different. They've been releasing the same game for the last 7 years so they had plenty of time to work on a next-generation installment.Played the demo, was fun.......really want to see the next gen version. Though based on this forum, since it was developed for multiple machines, its hot garbage cus you know, developers are incapable of getting good graphics out of the new machines if they have to make more than one version.....
I'm confused, it releases in 42 days which means its basically gold now, why couldn't they at least give as a 4k trailer with this tweet?
