Need for Speed Official Gamescom Trailer

That always online single player tho

Is it me or does the game visually look a little worse than the previous trailers?

Holy hell this live action stuff is amazing. There is no sense of self awareness at all, which makes for the best live action. It's so bad it's so good.

100,000/10 will get for FMV
FMV cut scenes in a game in 2015.

Nah, I'm kidding. This is gonna be the best shit ever. Cool trailer.

Doubling down on the FMV, the pre order Most Wanted M3.... Razor has to at least make a small appearance in this game!

Just noticed the girl in the garage is from Game of Thrones as well.

Honestly, as somebody who can't name any car that appears in that trailer, the live-action is the only interesting part of it. Heck, the biggest reason I actually played Need for Speed: Most Wanted way back when was because it has all those cheesy live-action segments.

Looking worse overtime.
And I like cheesiness.

Gamersyde has some Offscreen footage up and the handling looks still bad to me. Still looks like the Burnout kinda handling :(

I never get this argument.
Most Wanted was the only new NFS that played anything like Burnout. The others are nothing like Burnout. This looks much closer to the newer Hot Pursuit than old NFS or Burnout.

Burnout Paradise

Both look the same handling wise... and they felt the same when you played both games.

I hate this. The FMV stuff and the acting is so obnoxious. It always feels like a parody of racing culture. It's like they're stuck in some weird, bizarro version of 2001 post-The Fast and Furious. I really wish they would change the approach or do it with some dignity. Why the hell do they feel the need to have some sort of narrative anyway? It's a racing game, it feels so forced. Ugh, this shouldn't bother me as much as it does, but I really hate it.

The actual game tech looks impressive. In spots it almost looks photo real. I'm definitely going to try it, I had fun with Rivals.

Story wont be able to compare to the memorable and emotional F8/Zephyr story but this new need for speed feels like it will be as exciting as some of the best blockbuster summer movies. Im excited.

I hope it wont slip to 2016 like most other games Im buying.

Ok im out... I just CANNOT do this live action shit.

If anyone can confirm there is actually very little in the game and its actually a lot of real game inside the final package maybe, this two weeks of acting school at the local community college shit is too much.

I just want a really good look at this game, stop with the trucker hat guy and "urban cool kids" crap. They are making this so hard to like for me, and I was super looking forward to it.

the game looked good and all. But I was expecting a bit more gameplay to be shown (hopefully without the camera). I kinda expected more cars being shown and the icons revealed. But more gameplay footage is needed. Still can't wait for it though

So I guess Magnus Walkers gonna be in some live action stuff for this then, that's cool. I'll be picking this up I think.

Preorder for OG Most Wanted BMW?
Shit, i hope there will be other ways of getting that car.

The scenes that seem to be showing off the car customisation look incredible from a graphics standpoint.

Actually you can still get the car with in-game money. You just get it early with the Deluxe Edition

The live action and cheesy kinda story thing sell me on this even more. It gives me hope that they've rekindled what made the 2003-2007 games so charming.

Also, seeing the Diablo VT, RX7 and Lancer Evo returning make me even more hyped. I think this game is worthy of lacking subtitles/numberings.

Either the controls are broken or that's just some bad driving, don't think there should be any surprise in it being mechanically similar to the Criterion NFS and last game since much of Criterion's staff went over to Ghost.

That said, after Rivals they're going to have to do a lot more to get me excited to play this, especially to be on board day one and with the online requirement that's probably not going to happen.

Does not look too bad. I am really interested in the customization "storyline". Hopefully you won't have to disfigure a Porsche like in the trailer.

Jeebus. NFS as a series have gone from being the best darn racing games ever for me to being totally uninteresting with extremely few good entries.
This looks like something I won't even download on PS plus.

The fact that EA is so hesitant to show gameplay footage of this game and keeps shoving awkward live action videos down our throats makes me really concerned about this game.

I was really hoping this'd be the Underground 3 people have been wanting forever, but it's not :(

Sigh, just give us a proper Burnout with proper Crash Mode, Criterion please? Can you at least alternate the yearly release between NFS and Burnout?

I've heard rumours that a new studio with ex-Criterion staff is supposedly creating a Crash Mode game. Not a full Burnout but if it's true it's a good step back to the franchise.

Are they going to have these FMVs in the game?

Reminds me a lot of really old arcade games that do that kinda stuff. Not sure if that's good or bad.

I absolutely loved this game. I platinumed it. Call me crazy but it's still one of the best looking racers available.

Hot Pursuit is still my favorite and i play it every single time loved the handling in there.

I'm in the process of completing it to 100% and the game is pretty frustrating (especially the Rapid Response missions ugh -.-). That game is straight up Burnout shoehorned into NFS, which isn't surprsing as it was made by the same devs.

I don't know about you guys, but I certainly don't want to auto drift in curves and I don't want that dumb "CRASHED!!!!!" mechanic. Would be awesome, if it had handling like the Underground games and the same type of races. Those were just the best NFS games for me.

Yeah, people who prefer NFS should get a NFS game and people who prefer Burnout should get a Burnout game. Don't want to play a mix between those.

So far, it seems like I'll be skipping this NFS again, which is pretty sad.

That looked legitimately cool. I'll wait for a gameplay trailer to make my judgements, but I will say that I'm digging the FMV stuff. It adds some much-needed charm to the game.
