Hi Gaf, I just bought a new headset for my PS4 and I'm running into an issue I cannot seem to fix.

Whenever I chat on the headset I keep hearing my own voice, but I do not want to. I'm sure I checked every menu I can on the PS4 and cannot find an option to stop this, no other headset I've ever used has had this problem, though this is the first USB connected headset I've used on PS4. I of course googled this and only find references to a 'Sidetone: On/Off' option, but I cannot find this anywhere.

Also I only have the problem when I connect the headset via USB, when I connect via the DS4 the problem stops, but obviously I'd prefer to connect via USB..

Could any kind soul please steer me in the right direction?

Hold down the mute button. There are three settings for hearing your voice, high, low, and off.

Edit: NVM, I was assuming it was the Golds. I have no solution for that headset, sorry.

Try changing the setting to all audio or chat audio only in the PS4 sound settings.

Thanks but I'd tried either option and hear myself on both.

I don't think you can turn off mic monitoring on that headset.
