That can't possibly cost $200 to manufacturer. Someone involved is being stingy about licenses or greedy.

And what's up with them picking the original Metal Slug instead of the much superior Metal Slug X or Metal Slug 3?

Why are they bundling the console and the portable together?

Edit: Wait, I see, the "station" is just an oversized docking port for the portable to appear on TVs and charge, and to use the joystick with it. I thought you could plug original Neo-Geo cartridges directly into it.

If it actually had the more recent games then it might have been a more attractive deal, but yeah. it's 100USD too much.

The way you'll be able to add games to it will be really important.

If the emulation is perfect and Mark Of The Wolves comes out on it, I'm SOLD.

Woah, comes with joystick for tv gaming too? Thing looks awesome, won't buy it, but the whole kit looks great. If it's the same quality as the aes, it's brilliant.

Okay, to be fair, if the joystick is up to snuff, then $200 isn't as bad as it could be.

The real question is going to be what other games will be available for it, how they'll be distributed, and what the pricing will be. Also, if SNK is going to put NeoGeo Pocket titles into the mix or not. If not, then this is just another re-hashing of SNK's NeoGeo library, and as much as I love those games, I'm getting a little tired of just getting handed the same stuff over and over and over.

$200 is fine imo, if the controls feel good and the screen feels good that could replace a good chunk of my iOS gaming.

Nemo

Will Eat Your Children
As long as we get some reviews prior detailing quality and emulation I'll buy.
+1

Hit the nail bro, very interested in the hardware and button quality as well and how it performs with some emulators. This basically looks like a very sexy GB Micro. If that d-pad is swell I'll buy at 200 no prob... whenever I have the money to cough up

this show is not Breaking Bad why is it not Breaking Bad? it should be Breaking Bad dammit Breaking Bad
lol $200 is affordable somehow. Yeah, you're sure going to see the kids at the group foster homes rushing to the stores to buy this aged and affordable entertainment system.

This has brought tears to my eye.

Nintendo and sony both need to get on the ngpc train. There is a lot of gold in those titles.

We should already have NGPC games on the 3DS' virtual console. We should have had a NGPC collection on the DS. But, no, that would require SNK do something other than whoring out the same selection of "classic" NeoGeo games over and over.

Buyer beware. Blaze has a terrible reputation - look at reviews for the Gamegadget which they released a few months ago.
