Stupid thing to complain about, but when I choose to insert a gif I can't scroll through the search results so only have the initial 6 to choose from.
I've been working on adding a confirmation box. It should be rolling out shortly. This is not an error, but I don't know where else to put feedback.

It would be nice to have an "undo" button on the game key giveaways. I've personally clicked one by accident (in a "oooo shiny button" sort of way), and have now had two different keys I've posted clicked in the same manner, where the person didn't actually want to redeem the key, but was just mindlessly scrolling and wanted to click the button, in the same way one might click the spoiler button.
So it would be nice to either have an undo button, or maybe even better a secondary confirmation button after you click it. Like a "are you sure you want to redeem this game key?" kind of thing.
I personally love the feature. It's inspired me to give away a bunch of Steam keys I have lying around. But it would be nice if the action of redeeming the key was more intentional for the user.
Thanks for considering!
Edit: This happened two more times after I posted this. It does seem like a pretty common issue.
Just to circle back to this, this functionality is now restored. I'm not sure if it's something neogaf did, or if it's the latest iOS update, but it works now. Also, tapping the top bar (where your battery/wifi is) does not scroll the page to the top when using a safari app container. (I like to put NeoGAF on my home screen as a separate app so it doesn't always open a new tab in safari.)
I don't know if it's been mentioned, but in my giveaway post at least 2 users with 0 posts claimedI've been working on adding a confirmation box. It should be rolling out shortly.
My workaround for this is reply to the comment you want to have in your old post, ctrl+a -> ctrl+c -> go to edit your old post and ctrl+v. The user you quoted should even get a notice.I would really wish that you could insert quotes after publishing a comment.
Sometimes immediately after I find another comment I want to add, but there's no option so I sit like this waiting for another comment so I don't double post:
See?

We're not doing any back-end processing of Youtube embeds, outside of converting the youtube links in posts into iframes loading the standard https://www.youtube.com/embed/{$id} endpoint provided by Youtube.I started using a script in TamperMonkey which replaces the horrible new youtube UI/controls for embedded videos, it adds features like mouse scroll to change volume and set initial volume, among other things. Here it is:
![]()
YouTube Embed Enhancer
Restores volume control and adds a versatile toolkit for real-time diagnostics, video clipping, screenshots, and persistent playback customization.greasyfork.org
It engages fine and works flawlessly on other websites but specifically on NeoGAF the "set initial volume" feature - which I have set to 25 - gets overridden with a volume setting of 50 every time I start playing an embed in a thread, if I change the volume either with the volume slider or the mouse wheel it then changes back to 50 again after I played other embeds in the same thread. It also resets to all embeds in a thread to 50 volume if I go off the tab and back onto it.
Is there some backend stuff happening on GAF that tries to set embedded youtube player volume to 50? If not then anyone got any ideas why this is happening?
I've already reached out to the dev of the script and had a back and forth with them for a month now and they've released some incremental versions to address bugs I found, but they can't seem to find out why the reset to 50 volume thing only happens here (as far as the developer or I can see).
Same issue here.It doesnt happen often, but every once in a while another poster's message is in light grey colour font you can barely see.
If can be removed replying and getting rid of the colour yourself.
