//: NeoGAF 2011 Starcraft II OPEN Tournament

I also seem to have not payed enough attention when signing up. I can totally play this week's match on proper time, but after that there's fair chance that the Thursday timeslot will run right through the middle of Uni for that day. I foolishly expected us to play a bit more regularly and hat it wouldn't overlap with Uni.

Still the Friday US time slot is totally do able, so if if a conflict does come up I can either play then or forfeit I guess. Sorry about this again guys, I'll just have to put on my best show tomorrow to make up for it.

Hmm well this is difficult, on thursdays USA time I can only play between 9-10 PM EST (My lunch break) but on fridays USA time I can play pretty much whenever as that is my saturday morning...

I guess there are no exceptions? I'll probably have to forfeit if I can't play my matches at exactly 9PM EST on thursdays, I notice you mentioned fridays Panda but I don't see that anywhere in the OP?

Thursdays are main tournament days that EVERYONE should try to play on, Fridays are overflow for anyone who literally can't play on a Thursday. If you need to play as soon as the tournament night starts I can put you in front of Ezrarh and Corran's game as first game of the night tomorrow at 6pm PST (9pm EST).

To clarify to everyone: 6pm PST (9pm EST) is when the nights begin, streams go up, the first match begins, and people cast your games. The nights typically last until 1am or 3am at the latest and matches are done in order via the bracket (e.g. Ezrarh v Corran tomorrow). The matches can be switched around in order if need be like in Paz's case. I will post a list of people who need to play this coming Tournament Thursday night every week. Remember that Fridays are just overflow days. In fact, let me post right now who needs to play this Thursday and next Thursday.

So, since this is double elimination, the Survivor (winner of the loser's bracket) will have to beat the winner of the Winner's bracket in a Bo3, then a Bo5 (or Bo7, whatever the grand finals are), while the winner only has to beat the Survivor in a Bo5 (or Bo7, whatever the grand finals are), right?

Uh... Finals A are Bo5, Finals B are Bo5, GRAND FINALS are Bo7.

Lethe is waiting for his Gaf account to be activated so I'm posting a message for him.

He will be up for Thursday but because of work and other commitments he can't be on super late. Provided that terproerg gets on at a reasonable time, if he can play his Bo3 a bit earlier that would be greatly appreciated.

I will have to play my games straight away as that lines up with my lunch break at work.

However I can play pretty much any time on fridays usa time, so if you think that the games will overflow then maybe I should go at the end?

Sorry I wish I could be more accommodating but the only other option is to quit my job :/

Just a bit of news before tonight begins: it seems Bruceleeroy has some personal things in his life he needs to take care of first, therefore he will not be able to play tonight and unfortunately I must disqualify him. Aon, if you can show up at anytime tonight online, this automatically gives you a free pass to the next round, unless... Meeru would like to take Bruceleeroys spot?
If Meeru dooesn't show up online to play Aon tonight I'll just go ahead and give Aon the pass.
 
Since he's just off to some family do, there's no chance of him playing tomorrow or something? I feel a bit mean getting a by.

But I'll be spectating either way.

Sorry Paz. I had an engagement from 8:30-10:00 EST. Mentioned earlier in the thread. I guess I'll see you online tomorrow at 9 PM EST, though I'd love to play earlier 7 PM EST if possible.
 
Vautrin/Nilbog if you don't play your match soon I will have to give you an auto-loss, you're online in SC2 but away and have not made any acknowledgment to your match, you have not let me know if you wanted to go to overflow friday instead either. If you don't play tonight you will get an auto-loss and dropped to the losers bracket unless you play tonight or tell me you want to play tomorrow.

EDIT: Vautrin has been knocked down to loser's bracket.

Corran, there seems to be an issue with the archive video from your stream, it says teh file is three hours long but you can only view the first 2 hours.

EDIT: NM I'm stupid.

I am the worst player. I might just stick to doing write ups about the games next time, that's way easier.
 
Aon, it depends if Bruceleeroy shows up to acknowledge your forfeit in-game or on GAF, then I'll throw you into the losers bracket. The reason I say this is because I'm wondering if the situation will reverse in some form, due to Bruceleeroy's personal issues.

Sorry about last night, I had an insane week of exams, two of which were yesterday, one at 6am and other at 6pm, with classes all in between. I came home really late, and the first thing I did was make sure I wasn't late to the tournament. I waited and talked with people for 30 min. until the first match started, and then I didn't get an invite to spectate (not the first time, although the same people always get invites..i dont think a lot of ppl on gaf like me, but whatever). I tried the stream but my internet is not good enough, so I asked for an invite but noone gave a fuck, so I decided to spend some time w/ my pup who had been locked up for 10 hours and i knew i had a 5 hour lab in the morning so i crashed w/ him. duno if i'll be back for the losers round, give my spot to Meeru. pce gaf

people on mumble get invite priority because they can hear the casters, dont read into it like that. :O

I'm not complaining because I can watch the stream, but I've been on mumble the last few gaf nights and haven't gotten any spectator invites (of course, I just finally got my mic working last week), but I think it may be because I'm one of the few gaffer's not on MrMister's friend list. :(

Although I did suck it up in the star battle games!!

Oh yea..and mardil, the only reason I went stargate is because I saw corran went two gas and I didn't feel a 4gate coming so don't act like you know what you're talking about. I knew he was going to get robo and an early robo push with immortals can be stopped if I save energy for lift for the push.
