yesterday i got my huge candy haul from vas_a_morir!

here's a pic:

he got me everything i wanted and more, plus some things i have never had before (possibly only sold in his area?) and a lot of stuff i was missing pretty badly! needless to say, this was a great pick-me-up for the week. i already shared a few of the reeses pieces with my classmates. a big hit! jarosh loves them too of course. we have so much candy now our candy bowl is overflowing. we had to devote an entire shelf on our bookshelf all to candy!

The Russian nested dolls of candy. Open the big package...and there's three little packages. Open those...and there's a bunch of little wrapped pieces. Though perhaps that's to slow me down when I consume the entire package in on sitting.

I just found a vintage candy store in Denver recently. I got masses of bottle caps, Charleston chew's and abba-zabba's. Unfortunately the Abba Zabba's were too old and were brittle instead of chewy :'(

So I mentioned to Akia that my wife and I like Fruit Splosions...

Really happy with the haul. The Splosions should last a while and there was a pack of Count Choocula in there as well, which was an awesome surprise. The Jones candy is cool too.

This was a great idea. Pity the shipping wound up screwing so many people.

And now to start eating.

I showed my mom this picture and she was pretty happy that y'all enjoyed it. At the beginning she thought the whole thing was a scam. So actually seeing the stuff on the other side was reassuring for her.
