Wow. I really wasn't expecting this. I guess I should start off with thanking you guys for your concern. It really is touching that some care.

As to where I was, I was visiting a friend in Maryland, I live in Northern Virginia. I ran a bit late on when I said I'd be back, mainly because I was invited to eat out by his family and pushed my trip back a little. Well, a bit. Crab is a time consuming meal. My phone was dead during this time, so I couldn't let my family know I'd be a few hours late. I presume it was my brother sending messages to buddha. Then things went to hell with my tardiness when the train had to stop for over 20 minutes due to maintenance, followed by crawling at a fifth of the speed for the last third of the journey home due to terrible weather.

Sorry for any undue confusion. My family overreacted, and it seems to have caused a chain reaction. I told them I'd be back late in the day. I get them being worried. But starting a thread on GAF is a step too far

Honestly, I'd rather they make a thread and feel a bit foolish later, than to do nothing when time may be of the essence.
