So I've been wanting to share this with you guys for a while. But here is my new house :)

I've been here for about 3 weeks now, just about unpacked everything, got all my furniture etc.

My parents sold our old house which we built back in 1988 and are moving back to India to retire. So I bought this place so my parents and sisters will have somewhere to stay when they come back to Montreal.

I'm a single 26 year old male living alone in this 3 floor 3 bdrm house but I friggin' love it.

Still got some renovations to do, gotta put some new shelves, photos, posters etc. Bedrooms are a bit messy but you get the idea.... So yeah here it is :D

Its great that you have your own place and all, but why have you got your big TV in the basement?

Yeah man cave pretty much... My sounds system is pretty powerful and my neighbors would give me shit. But in the basement I can blast it !

TOWNHOME being considerate of the the neighbors I guess

But that's a decent sized townhome, at least triple the size of the one I had in VA

It's not a townhouse.. it's fully detached. Hell, even a lot of attached houses in San Francisco are considered SFRs, because they have nothing in common with the house next to them.

I want a townhome so I don't have to mess with the yard. The only thing that sucks is having to keep the stereo quiet.

Nice , congrats.

Really? the two doors in that one pic threw me off

edit: ok i'm looking at it again and it definitely looks like two different places

This is what my parents house looked like. Which was about 3 times bigger than new house.

I'm never really seen those sort of houses in the states before, I thought they usually went for single storey ones over there.

Also: I've seen a proper townhouse before... an 8 bedroom place with its own lift/elevator and recording studio right next to covent garden. It cost a substantial amount of money.

I live just outside of Montreal in the 'burbs

It's a townhouse and my neighbors house is the exact same.
It must be eerie to live in a neighborhood where everybody has the same exact house.

Well some houses up the street are different as in they don't have garages and at the very end of the crescent there are plenty of condo's The area is about 5 years old so its all new developments.

Oh oh oh I see now.. looks like what we call a "duette," a house split down the middle where you get one half and someone else gets the other half.

yeah it looks eerie to me too for a different reason i'm from new york and instantly realized there was no background behind the other houses, just empty space.

The house has a view of Costco!

HHAHAHAH yeah I'm across the street from Costco, might even become a member lol.

Its so worth it man, for electronic discounts alone, but your right there!

Costco is the shit!
Not really, they've return policy is back to reality after the abusive cheapstakes misused it.

Back on topic, congrats! Isnt this a semi? Also I heard that the house prices have softened up a bit, atleast here in Toronto.

You've got a lot of stuff for a single guy - looks like a whole family lives there!

Nice place. And it's an end unit? Score!

Neat house, but you need to do a seriousssssss interior design overhaul. Your basement is atrocious, what is up with all those boxes next to the TV? You're taking an already narrow space and compacting it even further, and not only that you're making the space feel crooked and uneven.

And that dining room set? Puhleeze, sister! Get rid of those shelves, or at least one of them, and get a sleek, flat-edged table instead of what you have now.

Do what I say! Congratulations, and I don't mean to sound like a bitch, just some thoughts. Town houses are tricky, because they tend to be, like yours, very narrow and tall, so you need to take that and use it to your advantage. You can't think "house" in a town house, otherwise you'll end up with a really claustrophobic space.

I have a man cave bedroom in my own townhouse and I'm the same as the OP, 27, single and live by myself. I don't know why I need a man cave bedroom because it's my own house and should be my man cave house.

The basement isn't finished yet dude lol, Those boxes are all diecast model cars of mine all of which i'll be putting on shelves that I'm mounting today actually.

I'll show you some closer pics of my dining set acutually, I love it , IT STAYS!
