We are the reckless, we are the wild youth!

I am not good at poetry, be gentle please. The title is The laughing swan.

The laughing swan

Are you laughing Mr swan?
You know it's not my fault
My wings were strong,
I wasn't wrong
My path is still exalt.

Who are you Mr swan?
to judge the way you do.
I once shone bright,
And began my smite
I don't know how he knew.

Will you join me Mr swan?
My army needs a hand
My grasp is tight
let's end the light
And Him we shall remand

So what's your answer Mr swan?
Let's slaughter all his calf
Then light shall gain,
His power wane
Mr swan why do you laugh?

I Was Kept Here

I'm not sure what I do anymore
I write and erase
Fiddle and fail
Ask what is unnecessary to ask
And ignore what shouting for me to know

It's hard to come up with my own way
I just follow behind
I know I should be blazing a path
And seeking for myself

My own questions don't come
With other out in front
I walk the blind path quietly
Afraid of myself

But I'm not sure I can anymore
I just write and erase
I fiddle with nothing and fail at much
But I can't just not ask
I have to know just who I am.

lemons.

it's the safety cage,
evidence.
the latch,
to which we hang
our spirited minds.
Chasing down,
roads,
that light up,
on approach,
tending to our
wounded hearts,
and crazy wands.
open up,
liberate,
slave,
to the machine,
trust in operating,
a different way.
Rinse, and repeat,
till our thirtieth birthdays.

QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

Not every mystery can be solved
Even though the truth, we hope, remains
Visible under only certain spectrums
Ethereal despite our wracking brains
Rendering every other sense impotent
Or masking every confidence held
Dare we to continue disbelieving
Despite the hopes to which we feel compelled
Over and over we search the stars
Running and crawling until we too burn out
Ever searching for the very things that escape us
Vexxing the constraints of our own doubts
Eventually until there is no trace left behind
Not words nor numbers nor questioning mind.

One of these day, we're going to do this right and proper.

those dark nights I lay awake
to stake claims my tombstone will display
but then I hear a shout, shriek, cry
daft machination, bargain faustian, yet worth a try
I prefer the slow burn of death in solace
like a bukowski, post hoc foster wallace
I digress though, regression into primordial
chained psyches, tread lightly, into an ordeal
on the minefield of answers to questions unprovoked
yet turn the spokes of hope until the toad croaks
