Just had an email to say this released as I have it wishlisted. To be honest I forgot about it and based on the reviews and impressions it looks like a "wait for a sale" kind of game.

Meanwhile, I still need to try out Skul which I bought in the last steam sale.

I finished the game. It's fun, but short on content. All the tilesets look pretty much identical, and it feels like there's basically one song in the game. I know there must be multiple, but I can't tell the difference between them. Anyway, that, combined with the way-too-slow unlock system, make the game pretty repetitive.

But the mechanics are still polished, and everything has a good feel to it. And I still felt compelled to dump like 10 hours into it over the last 4 days.

But it's soooo generic by this point. A roguelike with an '80s synthwave aesthetic?

So yeah, kind of conflicting overall. I think it could be great with an expansion pack and a few tweaks to the progression. As it is, though? I'd give it a 7/10. It's fun, it does the thing it's supposed to. Neat.
