Neon Switch SKU up at BestBuy.com

Still up two hours later... impressive! I wonder if we're nearing the end of the stock situation.

Well stock has been increasing everywhere, even Japan is seeing or has seen upticks, so it's likely they've finally managed to start getting more into the channels.

Finally.

I know I was surprised by the fact that it was still in stock, but even moreso by the fact that when I went to checkout I put in my zip code on a whim and it turns out my local BB has a stock, so I'm going to just pick it up today.

With any luck it'll still be relatively easy to find until Odyssey hits. But then it's gonna be in very hot demand again.

Hopefully this is a sign of supply increasing rather than demand decreasing, though it's probably a combination.

Definitely think they have started ramping up production since this is still in stock. I still have a feeling they will be somewhat difficult to find come the holidays.

Well was going to buy a neon and gray but Neon became store pick up only. I bought two Gray Switches and I'm set for christmas lol. Thank you for the heads up OP.

Don't forget to update the system before wrapping!

Unless one of your giftees are into homebrew. :^)

Yeah I'll be opening them up and getting it ready for immediate use. I still need to get myself one before Mario drops so hopefully wanting to wait for a possible Neon won't come back to bite me on the ass.

Just a hunch given their illogical strategy on the SNES and NES Classic. Would love to be proven wrong but Nintendo's been like this for years...they'd rather have hype and sold out consoles driving media coverage than units sitting on shelves like the Wii U. Logically it would make sense for them produce as many units as retailers are willing to purchase but they never do. If these units are still up after an hour's time that indicates demand might be dying down so increasing hype levels during the holidays by making the Switch more scarce and thus driving impulse purchases does make a certain amount of sense. Obviously Switch is a bona fide hit so being in stock isn't a knock against them I'm just saying, I agree, buy it now or you probably won't be able to easily find one during the holidays when demand increases.

Lol.
You don't have to be proven wrong. You have to provide evidence for your claim.

Show me with math, how scarcity leads to more sales and profit.

It doesn't even work for nes classic. Free press from selling out headlines? No one gives a fuck except enthusiast gamers following gaming news. You know what actually generates buzz? Seeing a product first hand.

Don't mistake Nintendo's incompetence for some kind of 8 dimensional master chess. If Nintendo was composed of geniuses able to manipulate markets the wiiU wouldn't have existed.

When things are popular they sell out. Wii. Switch. Snes classic.

When they Aren't, they dont. Wiiu. GameCube. Animal crossing amiibo.

Ditto...given Nintendo's usual scarcity strategy I fully expect these will sell out during the holidays especially with Mario out soon.

The NAND scarcity is #fakenews! You heard it first here!

i saw multiple neon/gray units at bestbuy/target on shelves since last week. they are out there, if you want one id get one now before odyssey comes out.

Okay GAF, I pulled the trigger. What games are good 2 player games to play with the wife? She likes playing more casual games, but I got her into Diablo 3 on PC. I figure I should get something other than BOTW so it's not a matter of me playing and her watching.

Snipperclips and especially Overcooked are great lady friend games as I can attest :p
