I have to say netflix on an iPad is a godly experience.
Pretty much everyone is throttled on Virgin Media if you actually use your connection.
30Mb is throttled to 25% connection speed between 10AM-3PM and 4PM-9PM if you download 10GB or 5GB respectively during those periods.
Virgin Broadband might throttle, I don't think it's the case with the Virgin Cable, if so I have never noticed it.
They've got all the 90s Marvel cartoons (Spider Man, Hulk, Iron Man, Fantastic Four, X-Men) plus some of the recent animated films, although annoyingly not Ultimate Avengers 1 for some reason. Great stuff, though.Oh yeah, they got the X-Men cartoon! I feel like watching that again
PC and 360 interfaces are pretty decent, I can see myself sticking with this.
I'm on Virgin Cable. They definitely throttle. But you probably won't notice much if they throttle you back to 7.5mb. That's still pretty fast.
Good to know! Gona test out the PS3 App now.
Maybe we should have a UK Netflix Recommendations Thread in the OT now too. X-Men Cartoon is a awesome find.
If anyone is having video quality problems you can use Control + Shift + Option/Alt + S to select your streaming bitrate.
If you've got a download cap in the UK its by choice. Plenty of great unlimited packages available. What ISPs are you guys with download caps using? I thought download caps were a thing of the past in the UK.

BT offer unlimited broadband without a FUP in every area of the UK (except Hull) for £25. Even if there's no fibre or LLU services in your area (very rare these days) there's still no reason to be on a limited service. Not many ISPs offer broadband in the area where I live. For years I was with Demon and had a 50GB cap but with lots of people using the internet in my house we were exceeding that nearly every month, and were then being restricted to speeds of 128k until we dropped back below 50GB. Still, there was nothing better and so it wasn't worth switching. More recently I have moved to Vivaciti as they offer slightly faster speeds and a 100GB cap, plus it's a monthly contract so when are exchange gets upgraded I can quickly move to an unlimited use deal.

I have a fair use policy but never ever get brought up on it, even though I almost definitely exceed it (Sky)
Don't mention traffic management on the Virgin Media forums or you'll get banned.![]()
How do adverts work on Netflix?

Make the thread gowans, would come in very handy.
Thanks for the advice but that didn't work either.Try going to "What's new"on the XMB. That's what the Netflix uk twitter account said.
Is anyone else having problems actually seeing the Netflix app on PS3?
I'm in the UK and it still doesn't show up for me. I've tried installing Playstation Home and setting the clock via internet as recommended in this thread but the app still doesn't appear for me.
Just tried this, but it doesn't seem to work at the moment. When I click add to queue I just get "Netflix Site Error - we were unable to process your request."Here's something I found on the DS forums: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/kmdelealkajgbcbeglojcnooolhbdlgo
It's a chrome extension that enables you to add items to the instant queue in countries that don't have this. I don't have Chrome so haven't been able to test it and so don't know if the queue will show up on your consoles as a result. I wonder if there is a similar plugin for Firefox.

Thanks for trying though. Shame as it wouldn't have been nice to have an instant queue. Not sure why it isn't available over here? Seems a strange omission.
Really need a way to setup a playlist to keep track of the films I want to watch. Such an obvious feature that is missing.
Just signed in and its under the TV icon.
Doesn't do much. Says ''Coming Soon'' with the option to recieve an email when it's up
Great Nonetheless!
What's the difference between an Irish PS3 and an English PS3?
