Neverwinter: Console Version | OT | "Your mother was an orc!"

Bloody hell trying to run the shores of tuern is woeful. 1 complete run in hours. Game tries to chuck you into an already failing group 90% of the time and when I do get a 5 man new group the tanks are awful. Like why does every person who gets 20 points over 1600 steamroll into dungeons? lol

*Sigh*

All of this for a damn book RNG drop for a boon. It's a skirmish as well, not even a dungeon!!!

I should have rolled a tank and been good at it.

I think I've been lucky with groups, only had one really bad one, just managed to get through kessell's this afternoon, my first go at an epic and it went ok although it's not saying I've completed the epic dungeon quest yet that's listed as an epic dungeon, weird.

Normal dungeons are fine. You can even solo them. The bad groups are in the epics because the GS requirement is too low on all of them. You'll come across it soon.

I'm about to burst a blood vessel. I think because it's saturday it's everyone's first dungeon day as well. Still only 1 completion of shores. The amount of times the LFG finder tries to push me into 0/1 in the queue which means a group in progress is staggering. 99.9% of the time when this happens its because a tank/healer or both have ragequit. As DPS never accept when it says 0/1. You'll end up in a party with 4 or 5 DPS, which then has to abandon anyway.

I'm at the point where when I do get a fresh group I'm having to tell the tank/healer what to do, or tell stupid DPS to stop being stupid. No wonder GWFs get a bad name. That last attempt there some idiot GWF with 1900 GS thought he could just run into every group first not waiting on the tank /facepalm I'm a decent guy and don't mind offering advice first time around, but if you ignore it.... *sigh* Even when we get some decently geared DPS, GWF included, I'm still out-damaging everyone nearly 2 to 1. That's more aimed at the GWFs though, as other DPS classes should come in a little lower than GWFs on average due to the buffs and group utilities they bring. I only get beat at times by same geared Warlocks, or if another DPS character it's because they are geared a fair bit better.

I give up for now. I'm not buying this book off the AH either, 200k for a boon, eff that.

I honestly think if I continue playing Neverwinter for the next 12 months I'll have to roll a tank.

How do you solo a dungeon, I've done a couple of cragmire crypts for ad but I can't see anywhere where you can run them on your own?

I'm not sure if you actually can anymore. Back when I played this on Xbox I ended up in a few dungeons on my own because it was even more broken back then and you could still run through them.

We should start organising guild dungeon groups. I think we have enough 2100-2200+ people already, not sure about 2500+ though.

Really starting to enjoy my HR alt now. I miss some of my CW powers but that's because I've put a silly amount of hours into CWs.

Tried tanking that at 1700ish, could just about do it but did wipe a few times on final boss. Took me a few attempts to get a good feel of encounter usage too. I don't see Bane (10% target damage reduced, stacks 3 times) used much by tanks but I found it really helped.

I pretty much rolled a tank because of the tank/healer problem in PUGs though.

Level 50. Making progress!

Anyone know why I am not getting put in any groups when doing matchmaking? I just enter the instance with my team, but I'm not in a group/party.

Is anyone else having trouble with the quest tracker trail, mines stopped showing up other than on my mini map?
Yes, when that happens, I close app and restart game. Its one of those bugs, usually it also affects to game graphics too, like my CW waves hands and does damage but the shoot graphic wont show and you cant easily see rarity of loot or what the loot is.

Cool thanks, I'll restart the app when I log back in later, that would explain the graphics issues too.

Woo level 60! Is the general consensus to stop what I'm doing and just start the ToEE campaign?

I finished off the last few story quests I had then started on ee and mixed it up with a few dungeon and skirmish runs to stop getting bored, ee is a bit of a slog but the Spinward Rise bit to get my artifact weapon wasn't too bad nd I got the last few levels really quickly in there.

I'm getting serious rubberbanding right now. It's near unplayable. Pissing me off. I failed the time trial race because of it too.

That's got worse, just tried to do a few bits and it's unplayable as you say, needs reboot by the looks of things.

I was trying to do them races in the tabletop place and the big axes were even lagging. I was getting knocked off every time so I rage quit lol

Ha,I feel your pain, I was doing a demonic hero event in WoD and it was just horrendous so I rage quit too, bloody annoying!

Same thing i did, i think its the best thing to do. Really, you can skip any of the unfinished zones, as they give far less experience than the Elemental Evil campaign, but its nice to do them just for a bit of variety. There are a couple of trophies attached them to, if that's important to you.

I'm wondering now what I can do for the guild, I'm 70 with a gs of just over 1700 so I've a long way to go but it would be good to contribute, in terms of time I can usually get on for a few hours in the evening (uk time) and I don't have voice chat.

Stronghold quests and doing heroics on the stronghold map help guilds a lot.

Cool I'll look at doing some of that, I've not really explored that map.

You get things to contribute to the guild bank which helps a guild level up and gain new things.

That gargoyle companion you get with 300 accreditation is a lot smaller than I was expecting.

Some companions are really small till you upgrade them from green to blue, then to purple. The Yeti starts off tiny and gets pretty damn big.

It breaks the bank upgrading them though...

Yeah that green slime gets bigger.

I dropped a companion experience thingy on the gargoyle and now it's doing 7 hours of training. Might be bigger when it comes back.

Edit: Yep, the gargoyle is now bigger than me after levelling it up.

Logged in earlier today morning (about 8h ago), wasn't sure what to expect when I checked Zen/AD ratio being 332. Had about 15mins time to do salvage operations & TBar to daggers to AD operation. Not expecting Z/AD ratio to drop, which sucks but oh well.

It went crazy for a second and went up to 400 but settled around 325 to 338.

Is there a way to run dungeons solo?

Do my 'quick' dungeon runs for the bonus AD and I'm getting stuck with the slowest asshats I've ever come across, I reach the final boss area, I've obliterated most enemies on the way there yet the others guys take forever to get to me.

A 5 minute dungeon run ends up taking 10-20 minutes. I do 8 runs a day now so I don't need 40ish minutes turning into 2+ hours.

Holy crap I knew Hellbringers were bad but never realized how laughably pathetic they were. Was just running Cloaktower for dailies and level 68 Hellbringer got not only GREATLY out DPSed by my level 61 DC but a level 30 DC by about 25K...............

Oh no. :|

Just do Elemental Evil you'll hit 70 well before you finish it.

Die to boredom in EE.

Do Elemental Evil, but when you feel like you are not enjoying it, do something else and then come back.

When I was at level 70 (5 power points used GS was over 2100), I soloed most of EE campaing (started from left and did Spinward Rise as last). It took me roughly 4 days and 6-8h per day.

I didnt do _any_ optional stuff there, didnt even grab the quests.

I'm not sure there is anymore. Even if the other 2 left, it's going to invite more people in and spawn them at the start, making it even longer.

You used to be able to walk up to area that initially unlocked the dungeon and just walk in and solo it. I don't know why they changed it.

Finished the Maze Engine campaign.

I really liked the story missions... the daily ones not so much.

The last fight was pretty epic.

Nos I only need Icewind Dale.

Still no word on Module 10's launch date for consoles? Not like i'm really in much of a rush to get it, still so much content left to catch up on, but some of the changes seem pretty great.
I know its doubtful, but i really hope we get a good performance boost on PS4.

You'll get a weekly quest that's a slightly harder variation of the final fight too, its nice. I really enjoyed the quests and the "intermission" dailies were harmless enough. I still have a little ways to go on IWD, i kind of left it until last.
