Neverwinter: Console Version | OT | "Your mother was an orc!"

I get super bummed when I get disconnected in the early AM.

That said, I hit 63 last night. Working on the EE campaign. Is there anything I can/should be doing for the guild along the way?

Just make sure you do Heroics in your stronghold and hit your resources cap. If you have high leadership, or one of the other professions that can make guild supplies, you can donate the crafted supplies to your guild.

When you say to do heroics in the stronghold...What does that mean? Is there a quest to grab or a person to talk to in order to make that happen?

Well, there is a quest for 3 heroics in the stronghold, but you can just go to any heroic on the map (if you are alone only 5 man heroics are doable) and just complete them. You get influence as a reward, which is capped at 400 per char per day. You also get 150 for the first heroics you do, 120 for the second, 75 for the third, etc, so 4-5 per day are enough.
Its faster in a group though, so make a call in the guild chat when you are going to do it, someone may join.

Why did they remove a ton of dungeons in mod 6? Some of them looked cool on YouTube.

Mod 6 was when the level cap was raised and the level 60 end game dungeons kind of had their own progression through them, is my understanding. They essentially became dead content, so they removed them. Likely with the idea of reintroducing them down the road. Hopefully we get a chance to play them.

That makes sense. Hopefully they can be added back because I liked the look of them.

I made the mistake and went to see Astral Diamonds Exchange :(

Now Iam crying :(

355 AD nets you 100 Zen :(

The fuuuuuuck :( I remember the time when it was 118/100 :(

This sucks.

Anyone got an idea for a good epic mount for a tank paladin?

All the guides recommend mounts not even in the PS4 version since they from past lockboxes.

That is about the average it seems to be on the other platforms. It is also way easier to make AD than it used to be now i have lots of high level professions and am running end game content where the rarer drops sell extremely well. I still make about the same amount of Zen as i did before, but it certainly makes it tougher for people just starting off.

Whatever gives High Power or Crit?

Is no crit in my build and I got power coming out my ass so I don't need more.

But I realised a bunch of important stuff I need isn't even in the PS4 version. Kinda put me off wanting to play it anymore since the alt builds are just doing what other classes I play are doing, is boring building everything the same.

Some Crit won't hurt Heals CAN crit and there are soft caps so 2000 Crit will likely do a lot more for you than more Armour Pen, which FYI healers do need funny enough our resistance also counters friendly heals to a degree, Defense or more Power.

Make your own build and aim for that? If you're comfortable with your class and know how you want to play it. Its what i do on the warlock, you don't need to follow some meta or other peoples builds if you don't want to, especially if you can't. I'm sure there are tons of viable, even OP builds you can do on a Paladin.

Could you not also tweak the build you were aiming for? I'm sure there are other items in game that would make it work just fine. I can't imagine any build being flat out broken just because of a couple of unobtainable items (that i would also imagine are next to unobtainable on the other platforms if they are from lockboxes that are no longer available).

No, I need a companion that gives me extra damage everytime I don't crit, so I need as little crit as possible.

This is what I need, http://neverwinter.gamepedia.com/Owlbear_Cub

I will basically spam encounter powers with the set-up I'm using, so this is a huge damage drop off, the only alternative I can find is a high crit build which means my other stats all need take a hit to fit lots of crit everywhere, plus that is what I'm already doing on alts, I liked the Paladin because was different.

It's not like I cannot change my build and still be effective, but it wouldn't be anywhere near as good and besides that it's not how I want to play it/enjoy playing it.

edit: This not the only impossible item either with no/poor alternatives.

That's a mount from an old lockbox so it will likely never be on PS4, don't believe Xbox ever got the old PC ones.

I was enjoying the maze engine campaign but these dailies are killing the flow, I've 10 to do until the next bit opens up,I know why they do it but it's a bit much.

It's a companion, with no alternative.

At least with my TR there are some things I cannot get also, but there exists good alternative items.

With OP is no alternative at all for several items.

It's 15 daily quests after that.

Not sure for the final part, I suspect some BS like 20 of them.

My god that sounds horrendous, are the rewards worth it?

There's no 20. I was expecting it, but after I did 15 you get a few missions and an awesome boss fight to finish it.

15 is the final set of them, its 25 total. The end is not only a solid boon, but a really great series of quests (probably the best in the game). It also unlocks a weekly with nice rewards.

Each daily only takes a couple of minutes, and only needing to do one per day it never really became a hassle. Just tackle it while working on other campaigns/goals.

Cool,I'll stick with it then, I've only got the very top quest in ee to do now just not sure where to get 12 elemental cult orders, there seems some confusion on which mobs drop them.

I believe that's just a repeatable bonus quest, not required for any boon or particularly relevant reward.

I'll leave it then I reckon, to be honest finishing that campaign was a bit of an anti climax,I'm doing a mix of sharandar/dread ring and the maze engine dailies, don't think I can be bothered with tyranny of dragons at the moment, did a few little bits for the guild tonight, it won't let me donate shards of power so I presume we're full with those.

Cannot even PUG Shores of Tuern.

Didn't seem to be getting healed much, so I asked the Devoted Paladin if he was healing. "No I'm a Paladin".

2100 gear score.

It doesnt matter what Epic dungeon is going on. There is always some smart ass that thinks dungeons are DPS race and combat has to be started before everyone is ready or even there.

Also, sucks that NW is multilanguage, getting to pug and other dont understand English is like fu slap in the face. "Dont loot in the middle of combat"... Spam doesnt change a thing :(. How I love those green/blue boxes in front of me when Iam trying to do skills / spells. As my summer holiday is over, I have way less time to d oplay NW. Maybe do 2 skirmishes (or 1) and thats it per day.

Mhmm I seriously want to thank whoever had that bright idea. I'm always getting stuck with French, German, and Portuguese speakers who know 0 English, or at least want us to think they don't.

Which reminds me something "funny". One player shouted in WoD LFG channel <LFG somedungeonnameinsomeotherlanguage>. Thats one way to not get party for the dungeon. I speak 3 different language and understand 4th and I didnt have sligthest idea what dungeon it was. Then there is Russian language...

Ha, I can speak German and Russian, feels fine in like 80% of PUGs. :) They still loot midfight though, do not think its a language thing :/

Btw, do we have some ideas about guilds to alliance with? Its 3 weeks to the 18th of October, we should try to establish contacts with few solid guilds, maybe then we will be able to kill those damn Stronghold dragons. [:-]

Thats pretty much the exact same progress i took. Once i started making progress into the campaigns i added in WoD, and then eventually IWD. It kept the variety nice and ensured i didn't burn out too much.

Yes, i believe we're full on a few of those resources, but we're getting fairly close to the next Guild Hall, then we'll need more. Just chuck 'em in the bank for now.

I have a few friends in other guilds and if anyone else does we can all have a chat. I believe it can be an alliance of up to 12 guilds? And there is a hierarchy to it. We'll also get a specific cross chat channel so it can be easier to group and not worry about PUGs.

Also the 4.0 firmware update and Spotifiy's better features on the quick menu are so perfect for this game. If you're not using it, check it out. There are adds on the free subscription but its much less listening to the radio.

I just wish you could add podcasts, which it doesn't seem like you can (i might just be missing something however).

Well I would love to do that along with chucking some other bits in that might help lower levels but it won't let me!! Any chance you could have a look into that so I can move stuff in there?

I actually did take a look at it awhile ago and everyone, with the exception of recruits, should have access to the Guild Bank. I'll take another look at it. I'm not the one who set it up, but i may need to put in a ticket. I was however referring to just storing it in your personal bank however as i imagine the items are bound to character :).

Also, if you're having a rough go of it in any of the zones just ask anyone in guild, a lot of us will always help. They can be a little rough to solo until your gear score i a bit higher.

I found Sharandar to be easiest to solo, and IWD dailies are the most difficult to solo. But thats from CW point of view, other classes may have it in reverse for what I know.

I'm currently concentrating on Sharandar and Maze, will take around a week for both to get last boons. After that probably Dread Ring and IWD, but we'll see.

Great stuff, it does say I have access but won't let me put anything in.

I will do that, my gs is nearly 2k so it would be nice to do some guild dungeon runs soon, I'm OK in sharandar and the dread ring WoD is a bit of a struggle though and to be honest I'm not that keen on the area.

Nah, Well of Dragons and Icewind Dale are the two highest level areas in game and I believe Sharandar is considered the easiest so seems like you are having the common experience.
