I would actually adore to see peoples reaction to the eclipse. I imagine it would be the red wedding reactions all over again.

I think the reactions would be even more extreme
The Red Wedding just kills off one small group of characters, well loved characters that people rooted for but there were still tons of other characters to follow from Dany to Jon Snow to Tyrion. The Eclipse is far worse in that is builds up this large group of characters over a long time that you really grow to like them and want them to succeed. When it looks like they've finally gotten away and are going to be able to escape they are tortured, murdered, eaten and raped by a horde of demons brought on by their one time beloved leader who gives it all up in a state of weakness. Its fucking brutal on a whole other scale.
The reactions to an eclipse would go well beyond the reactions to the red wedding I think, given what happens during the eclipse.

Except the eclipse is a ton worse than the red wedding. HBO getting a hold of Berserk with a massive budget and then it becoming the next Game of Thrones in terms of popularity would be too awesome for me to handle!
You run the risk of being a garbage apostle like the snail with human legs. Not worth the risk unless you know you'll be a really cool one.
That's why you wish for something like the Slug Count did. I'd just be like,"I want a body that could fuck up Guts" and the God Hand be like,"Fucking finally somebody asked for this. Kill that guy will you? Griffith will give you a slap on the ass!"

God, this game looks more amazing every time I see it. Also, I think I need to hurry and catch up to manga since the last screenshot is already a spoiler to me.
Just a fair warning to people who haven't played Pirate Warriors and are excited about the amount of arcs that the game is covering. Musou titles usually jump over a few arcs when they are covering a lot of them. Like in Pirate Warriors the game goes till the last arc but they still don't have a few of them like the island with giants. So, expect the this game to do the same.

Do we still not know if the Western version will be rated "gorier" than the JP one?? All I know is that the JP version will be rated CERO D instead of CERO Z (Z being the equivalent of Adults only).
When he used his behelit the snail with legs was like,"I don't care, surprise me!" and what he couldn't tell was Void was grinning the entire time, except he doesn't have lips!
This worries me tbh. Berserk of all things should be a Cero Z.
Really looking forward to it, I like my musou games and being able to chop up thousands of monsters with my dragon slayer is going to be bliss!
The developers said the US version should be the unrated one. How much more so than the Japanese version is yet to be known.

I remember that quote as well, and assumed it meant figuring out what level of monster decapitations will avoid a Cero Z rating, and how many milliseconds of THAT ONE SCENE they can show without the ESRB freaking out.
As much as I want to believe they'd let each version embellish whatever's is more acceptable, they'll probably end up with one version of the game (content-wise) for both regions with humans that lose every single limb yet not their heads, and very very brief rather than lingering flashes to something unpleasant inside the eclipse.
The Fist of the North Star games were made more violent for the western releases, it's fairly likely to happen with Berserk too. Nioh is also missing decapitations in the Japanese version but the western versions have them.
The Japanese version of the game won't be any more explicit than the western one in terms of sexual content, they're not even allowed to show nipples in console/handheld games as per CERO's guidelines. K-T is not known for censoring games in the west anyway, so I'm not worried about it.
I doubt we'll get any playable antagonists. Griffith will be playable because of the Band of the Hawk, when he was still a good guy.
We've already got Zodd.
Casca's above age, so I can assure that they could get away with more with the ESRB than Cero.

He isn't really an antagonist though. His motives aren't in opposition to Gutts in fact he has aided him several times. All Zodd wants from Gutts is a fair duel and even then he doesn't really go out of his way to get it.

This is looking great. If its anywhere as good as DQH i will love it.
He's currently with Griffith and has told Guts he'd kill him if he had decided to go after Griffith at a certain point in the manga. For all the manga so far, he's still been an antagonist even if he's helped out before.
He helped Gutts while he was
already serving Griffith. Sure it was begrudging but if he really wanted to kill him he would have instead of teaming up with him to fight Ganishka. All he had to do was drop him into the ocean and he would have drowned before anyone could save him.
What does that make Serpico then though.
An antagonist for a time turned main character along with Farnese.
And as a main character he set Gutts up for a duel in the cistern when he found it to his advantage. Not to mention how Serpico is constantly on edge and seemingly willing/ waiting to kill Guts when he is in Berserker mode if he gets the chance. Doesn't seem like his vow to kill him has changed yet.
Not making a case against Serpico though. Just saying that Serpico and Zodd are kind of in the same boat. They both want duels with Badass McStronghuge and have gone out of their ways to help Gutts in order to make he sure survives long enough for them to get it. That they aren't reaaaaaaaaaaaally antagonists. A good parallel is how Rakshas is to Griffith though in this case I don't think anyone would argue who's side Rakshas is on despite vowing to eventually kill him.
Maybe it's just me.

Is it weird that I'm genuinely excited to play as Schierke? after seeing a character like Lana in Hyrule Warriors, I'm so confident they'll do her magic powers justice. also just genuinely like her character a lot.

Nnnn, Serpico and Zodd aren't coming from the same place at all. Zodd wants to enjoy the fight of his life. Serpico wants to keep Farnese hale, and when possible, happy, and is willing to do almost anything to see to it. His conflict in dealing with Guts is that those two seem to be mutually exclusive, sometimes at least. Fighting is a last resort and means to an end for him. For Zodd fighting is the means and the end. Likely the literal end at some point.
Heh, I've been re-reading the manga now twice over with all this talk about the game. Farnese is such a fucked up person, but still so goddamn human.

Is there actually a chance this game goes for an AO rating? That's usually a death sentence. I'd definitely buy though lol.
