Speaking of digital Breath of Fire, anyone know where I can pick up Breath of Fire III digitally?Breath of Fire IV is less than a dollar on PSN. Let's all celebrate the last great Breath of Fire together.

This really takes me back to my memories of Breath of Fire.
This seems like a good of place to ask as any, but is there a reason Breath of Fire III isn't on the NA PSN? People off handedly refer to "issues" they never clarify.
I think SCEA had some stupid rule that psp ports had to have something additional from the original versions.
I think that's also why Suikoden II never released over here as well.
I THINK that's why, but I'm not positive myself.
"Something additional"? What could that mean? I can't think of any classics with any additional content. What would be required?

You guys better get BoF4 from the PSN sale!
Suikoden II was (finally) ported to PSN last year. I don't think they added or changed anything either. D:
This week has probably been the worst week of gaming news for at least a decade.
And everyone telling people to buy older BoF instalments on PSN thinking it'll make Capcom release a real BoF instalment, it's not going to work. They'll use those profits to pay for more of these mobile games. If anything's been proven since last gen it's that Capcom is extremely out of touch with its fanbase.

Can you buy stuff off psn on a PC or does it have to be on a PS?
If you're looking for BoF4, here's the link: https://store.playstation.com/#!/en...00-NPUJ01324_00-0000000000000001?smcid=sen-tw
If that's actually the case, then why not just release the PS1 version for North America? It would still be better to have something over nothing at all. It's so petty. That's pretty much it. Probably killed Mega Man Legends 1+2 PSP as well. Supposedly killed the Sakura Wars ports, even though those games never came out in NA!

Wait, PS1 classics don't run on PS4? Sorry, unrelated I know, but that's lame.
Unless they remaster it and charge you a ridiculous price for it.How else would they get more money out of you? Can't have all those people keep playing the games they owned on an old console, on their new one too.

Damn, that's unfortunate with the legal issues. Thanks for linking that video, it's nice to finally have the situation clarified like that.Because they legally can't. Capcom tried to put out the PSone version on PSN, but the game didn't pass legal. PSone Classics require an unmodified ISO.

Dunno, man...Capcom isn't making too many RPGs nowadays, but this is the just a couple of pieces of art we got for them:
I just don't see a game Capcom cares about looking as uniform as this does.
Well, that assumes BoF6 even as a non-f2P game would be handled with care. You could still have the blue-haired Ryu but have the genericness of a modern Japanese RPG character design is all I'm saying. Like I said, Capcom wasn't taking care of their niche RPG well.I'd say it's a stretch to say that the art direction they are using now is a natural progression from the previous 5 installments. There really is very little in common in terms of character design to say this is what BOF6 would look like if it was a non-mobile / non-f2p release. The similarities aren't really there. There are plenty of examples posted in this topic that showcases this.

It would be better if SCEA and SCEE would modify their policy, but alas that's the world we live in. More localzed PS1 games wouldn't hurt.

I know Japan is heading towards a lot more mobile games, but fuck why can't they bring their awesome art style from past gen jrpgs to the mobile game industry!
i swear every rpg i see on the app store has this awful art style. WHY
How....?This art style seems like an upgrade to me, honestly.

Which Tales series would that be? Because even Tales games back on ps2 made this look like shit.
Yeah noI think you might be seeing different screenshots than me. This does not look like "shit" by any means. If it did, this art style wouldn't be so popular.

It looks like Go Gaia Online
Yeah no
You're right, it looks like freemiumware of the highest degree, with character models that rival facebook game characters and will end up being as microtransaction loaded as them too. No, it looks like horse shit that was created by people who don't even care about the original series anymore and are using it's name to further dig the series grave and then blame fans for not buying the game that has nothing in common with anything in the series.
