The article says they're from the PS3 & Xbox 360 version, but the lack of heavy lighting makes me think they could just be Xbox360. Plus there was this:

"While still officially scheduled for November at the conference, Activision did announce that the game will be a launch title for the Wii."
 
Anyway, they really need to do something about Call of Duty 3... they factoryworked that shit so hard and it's coming out with this year, and it just looks so far behind Brother in Arms and Medal of Honor Airborne. Those textures on the floor are terrible
 
looks like a quick rehash to get a sequel out in 12 months. Hope they're working on a proper update for next year.

Still COD2 was fun, so hope this is the same
 
Yeah I agree with that Amir0x, I'm looking more forward to BIA3. COD3 just feels too much like COD2 to me, and not a true sequel jump.

Yeah, I am definitely looking forward to BIA3 more as well, still think this will be worth keeping an eye on.

I suppose, It just doesnt feel right calling this game COD3. COD2:TheExpansionPack feels more like it. I'm more into BIA3, more strategy involved, and If what they say is correct they have fixed the aiming from the orginals. All I need now to make the game almost perfect would be M&KB support.
 
How could it feel like COD2 when you havent played it much less seen vidoes? Why not wait a little before jumping to judgement?

but, there have been videos. and the graphics look just like COD2 with some minor changes.
I was expecting a bigger jump, sue me.
 
its tough to get excited over a WW2 shooter these days

is this just the same as the past games in the series only with better graphics?
 
COD2 rocks.

I have almost finished the single player 3 times (normal, hardened and veteran)

The A.I is very good

Multiplayer is great

It does seem a bit soon for a sequel
 
The grass better get crushed flat when the tanks roll over!

I really hope the missions are more diverse than they were in COD2.
 
Yeah, looks about the same or a tiny bit better than COD2, then again, I didn't really play it much - had my fill of WWII shooters a long time ago...

But from what I've read, the meat and bones of the graphics for this one is the grass that actually get squashed as you run through it (like you see in these pics) and the smoke that actually gets blown away by other blasts and so on - so it should look even better in motion...

I'll definetely borrow it, like I will with COD2...
 
It looks pretty, but not all that different from the last one. I'll play the Wii version for a different experience.
 
The multiplayer already sounds better than COD2. Maybe we won't have to wait four months for a patch that makes the online playable this time.

WW2 is very vast. It's probably based on a different set of battles too.

P.S Does this mean that the wii's version will come out first (October 2nd)?
Unless my prediction of a November 20th launch is true
 
No Infinity Ward = Probably no buy.

Unless the Wii controller really adds something or the game turns out different enough from COD 2 to warrant an Xbox 360/PS3 purchase, I can wait.

Hell, i'm still addicted to COD 1's multi. (Mouse + KB FTW)
 
The grass better sway out of the way as soldiers move through it, or no sale.

it really doesn't look bad. i don't know if treyarch can work at infinity ward's standard, but the formula is well-established at this point, and call of duty is fun. i'll play it if it turns out reasonably well.
