New Content coming to BF4, map survey

Despite the technical issues, Battlefield 3 and 4 really have been head and shoulders above Call of Duty in terms of quality of DLC and post-release support.

The only reason I played BF3 as long as I did was because the DLC maps where massively better than the vanilla ones.

Is BF4 a similar situation?

Lol at the people telling them to remake more infantry clusterfucks like BC2 and BF3. They absolutely need to make a map set in Moscow or other major Russian cities. Dragon Valley, Dalian Plant, Kubra Dam, and Mashtuur City wouldn't be a bad start.

Holy crap I've completely forgotten about Dragon Valley.

I love that map to death.

Voted for Market Garden, Tampa, Phu Bai, Arica, Harvest Day, and Ziba.

Seriously though Modern Combat should be on this list. Deadly Pass, Backstab, and Bridge too Far were great... Spec Ops and Missle Crisis were godly

What i'd like most would be:

BC2: Panama Canal, White Pass, Valparaiso, Arica Harbor.
BF3: Noshar Canals, Grand Bazaar.

Kinda excited.

We're getting Atacama Desert though.

BF4 vanilla has some good maps. But yes, the expansion maps are really good.

Caspian Border, Oman and Firestorm are all in the game. Operation Mortar is basically the Battle of Iwo Jima map from 1942. I also kinda like Wave Breaker. The Dragons Teeth maps are all infantry focused with Pearl Market being the infantry clusterfuck map but with more floors. I like all the other maps though. I pretty much like all the Final Stand maps. Yeah I'd say BF4 premium now on PC is worth it. Community is going strong, and a lot of major problems were fixed months back.

I hope they go with more 1942 and BF2 maps. They fit more in line with their general map design in BF4 save a few specific maps. El Alamein and Dalian Plant pls

I was expecting a actual announcement today.. but instead

"Our announcement today is that we'll have a announcement at a later date"

Operation Market Garden, Operation Battleaxe, Berlin (1942), Mashtuur City, Dalian Plant, Kubra Dam (2), Cerbere Landing, Tunis Harbor and Verdun (2142) are all pretty sweet maps that I haven't played in years. I would play BF4 again if we got any of those.

Especially Cerbere. Holy shit, 2142 had some good maps.

Damn straight. Throw Belgrade and Sidi in there too.

The map is great, but the mortar spam is not lol c:
No, its not, agree there.

I almost wish that DICE could like globally ban certain kits or weapons or whatever on certain maps that needed it.

But still, 24-32 man Seine Crossing without people spamming mortar fire is one of the most fun BF experiences for me.

This is going to be included in my current Premium membership, right? I refuse to spend any more money on BF4.

Not going to lie, EA has won me back a little with the way they've been acting this year... by no means does this mean i trust the company or think they have changed, but at least there is hope there that didn't exist before. it was nice to get PvZ for free and i like the way they've been supporting their games (titanfall and BF4 to be exact). Most of all it SEEMS like they've learned some lessons. I respect that they've been delaying a few of their games (Hardline, Dragon Age) in order to make sure they actually work at launch. hopefully this will continue (given that Hardline actually works at launch of course).

If there is enough content I wouldn't mind paying a little more for DLC but if it's one pack just throw that shit onto premium already. I've put something like 350+ hours into BF4 PS4.

Really excited about this even though it's not technically a real announcement of anything. Ok, yeah, screw the nameless faces behind the tragedy that was BF4's launch; it's in fantastic shape right now and I've been addicted to it lately.

CANALS!!!!

I'm at the exact same amount of hours. I spent nearly 2 grand building a monster pc for battlefield 3 and only ended up playing for around 75 hrs. I've put over 350 hrs into Battlefield on PS4 mainly because I have buddies come over to my place with their PS4s every time we play. I'll probably look back on this time with happiness like I do with Halo 1 system linking era. I wouldn't mind throwing DICE a few more bucks if they put out some quality maps.

Voted for

BC2: Arica, Atacama Desert, Valparaiso
BF3: Ziba Tower, Operation 925, Donya Fortress, Canals, Teheran, Davamand, Kharg

Haven't even played Final Stand, but may come back for this

The snow maps, Whiteout and Hammerhead, are beautiful. I sometimes just stop and stare into the mountains in the distance. It's actually my favorite set of maps, though I missed the rest of the map packs when they released and am only just playing them now.

EVERYBODY DDOS THE POLL WITH ARICA HARBOR
This 110%
and also gonna vote some BF1942 and BF2 maps.

But most likely we gonna get small infantry maps from Bf3 :( .
It aint Battlefield if it doesn't have big open maps with tanks, helis and so on imo.

I don't want remake from old maps because I'm confident the current bf community couldn't make any 1942 map win ( other than maybe Wake ).

That being said, some BC2 map could be fun if they took the opportunity to open up their 64 player conquest version ( close to their rush size ), but I wouldn't expect them to do that sadly.

BF3 Armored Kill needs love too, guys. Some nice maps were in that DLC expansion.

Also voted for Nosehair Canals because its a dirty favorite of mine.

Give me Alborz Mountain, Markaz Monolith, Arica Harbor, Strike at Karkand and that one map from Bad Company 2 that started in a military base then descended to a village of houses.

Please DICE. Please.

Related but not, did Final Stand come out on PS3 and Xbox 360? I imagine those versions are way over memory limits at this point and that the Final Stand maps would be too much to handle.
