i just bought the first one in bargain bin last week and i'm playing through it for the first time. the game mechanics are cool, but i'm really hating the save system. i like the save points in ninja gaiden much better. i hate having to go through a bunch of crap again and again every time i fight a boss and die... i also hate the way the items become more expensive when you buy more of them. that reminds me of some ancient Resident Evil mechanic carried over, it doesn't belong. other than that i'm loving the game. if those things are handled differently i will definitly be buying this. does anybody know if the save system and buying items will be handled in a more conventional way?

edit// on the save system i would definitly prefer something like zelda or ninja gaiden.

Yeah, DMC3 is looking too over the top for the series in my eyes, but the guitar rocks.
