New DriveClub gameplay videos (IGN)

What's wrong with the hands/arms? They look aweful in the first vid.
Overall this is Sony's Forza Horizon, for sure.

Not really. I think it's pretty idiotic you'd come into a racing game thread and call it 'mundane' when it's obviously not your thing. Were you expecting explosions and maybe weapons on the cars?

You're right, that's totally what I was expecting.
 
Doesn't look particularly exciting. But like with all racing games I'll need to get my hands on it to see how the driving model controls. The tracks did seem a bit boring though but I liked the sunset.
 
They should just stop putting any new games on Youtube.Its definitely a non game friendly video site.Proper footage is needed asap.

I'll reserve judgement on the updated video until I can see it for myself, but what I've seen so far of the game looks great!
 
Bought a PS4 for this and after seeing that I don't know why, but I'm disappointed. Maybe because it just seems like a track based Horizon 2.

These videos were scheduled to release today before there was a backlash about that PS+ thing.

But yeah, it was smart of them to react quickly and backtrack on the policy before these videos released.
 
Is this the first time we've seen genuine gameplay for this title? For some reason I used to be excited for this but these videos make the game look a little generic.

Hopefully we get a new gen DD or next car game makes it way to consoles.

If you're shelling out 60 beans on a racing game to crash over and over (which means not winning your races), you're doing it wrong. Its such a waste of development and performance resources that could be better spent its not even funny.

I know, physics porn. Leave it to its own brand of derby, full contact car games.

Glad to see a car count. I think there were 12 cars in the races. I'm also glad to see the time of day transition. I can't wait for this game. PEACE.

It's pretty high resolution considering the cables are clearly visible, plus it has an 'orange peel' surface on the paintwork. The reflection resolution could be dynamic based on performance - at one point it was way lower in the previous trailer.

Weather added? Or did they just mean time dilation / time cycles?

The road and the hillside look crappy resolution too, it's silly to judge blurriness on a very blurry video.
 
The Release date trailer footage looked mighty impressive, but the two gameplay videos seem to lack the same level of excitement as the trailer. What could the reason be? Is it because the racing aspects/handling of cars doesn't feel fun and exciting? Is it because there is no motion blur and/or youtube quality is making it look worse?
