This thread makes me incredibly happy I never tried to watch Pocket Full of Rainbows or AO and listened to the people saying they were shit stains on the legacy of one of the greatest original anime shows.

Like many people in here, I absolutely adored the original Eureka Seven and it's pretty much one of my GOAT shows. I will leave the trying to find out if these new movies are any good part to more adventurous people than me. I ain't wasting my time getting angry at another terrible project.

It was.

I went ahead and saw it.

The first half hour was absolutely fantastic. Mech action was top notch.

...Then Renton takes back over as protagonist and it has these cuts (play forward/play back) that happen ALL the time in the remaining hour. If you haven't followed the first half of E7, this is going to make no sense whatsoever. It went back and back again, then went forward, then went back again then went forward again and so on. It starts off with him running away as "Renton Beams", then showing him leaving thier ship before even introducing who Ray and Charles even are as far as the show is concerned.

Still decent overall, but that's mostly due to the first half hour.

Anyone know when the OST/Glory Days comes out?
