Sorry, I didnt know that only trolls would prefer to use a mouse/keyboard for FPS's. My bad.

The fact that has been confirmed 1000000 times that X360 doesn't support mouse/keyboard for playing and the PS3 support it is what mades your comment a trolling attempt. That, and the fact that you are Gek54.

No gun model in first person? Meh. Never played a Ghost Recon before, but this seems stupid. They showed first person with the gun viewpoint in the teaser trailer. Yay more conceptual deceptions in next gen product. It may not be a deal breaker if 3rd person works nice, but don't show something if it isn't going to be there.

Back to Rainbow Six 3 for the PC.

There is a 3rd person view that is more zoomed in. It looks really close to a first person view. Download the gameplay vid and see for yourself. The footage is shakey cam, but it does a good job showing the different views.

GRAW 360 gameplay video showing off how the 3rd person views look

:lol @ all the peeps thinking the Xbox version looks like shit now they're getting used to next-gen imagery

Come on ppl, this looks really good for the hardware!

Crosshair is awfully big though, I realise it probably represents bullet spread within a burst but it looks odd!

The video is from last year, not long after they recieved final developer kits, and the developers commented a while back that the crosshairs are something they are working on. It may turn out each gun gets it's own unique crosshair style, but that was only mentioned briefly in a developer chat.

I doubt the crosshair will be that large in the final version. Anyway the main point I was trying to make by posting the gameplay video, is that the precision aim view looks really close to a first person weapon view. Around 40 seconds into the video when the guy is staring out into the water you really see how similar to a FPWV it is. Also at the end when he is firing at the guy hiding behind the rock and he closes in on him, thats another great example of how it looks like a regular FPWV.

Thanks for the vid. I can handle RE4 style aiming. I still don't like that when it is zoomed in all the way you don't see the gun model. Oh well I'll get over it.

The Xbox version does look good, but the geometry in the background doesn't look as nice. The textures don't look as good and the fogging in the distance is pretty bad. It is tough to go back when everything is so clean and crisp on 360.

That's like saying sex with Matt LeBlanc (Juliette Lewis) is still ok after you've had Hugh Jackman (Angelina Jolie).

Some of us have moved on. =)

Sure a mouse + keyboard allows for faster and more precise control, but a gamepad offers some nice things. The shoulder trigger when squeezed to firing is a closer representation of firing a real gun. When combined with rumble effects on the gamepad the shooting of a weapon is more convincing.

I have faith in Ubi. GR2 was one of the better Xbox games I thought; and it rocked over Live. GRAW should be awesome as well. Lord knows that if EA can get FN3 looking shit-white-hot then Ubi has some tricks up their sleeves.

I wouldn't say that the game looks better than the X360 version, but I would say that the games DO look similar.

Design wise, HUD wise, and COLORS wise.

They haven't really showed off much diversity in the enviroments yet. When you mainly see pics of downtown Mexico over and over it tends to dampen any differences.
