It's an original quote in Spanish from the demo played by Kaz on the PS Premiere.

The city scene not's a photomode location, it's the real time background that show your car on the menu options.

As of today Sony has announced the full Gran Turismo 5 car list. It consists of 10000 cars. At launch it will only have 340 cars while the others will be developed in the future. Polyphony Digital will also develop cars for individual clients. That means in the future we could have any car put into the game for a special price. Of course the damage model will be not present in GT5. Below we are attaching the nearly official carlist of GT5. Be ready for more info in the close future!

It is a lot, but it makes me wonder what the heck someone would be paying for all of them when only 340 make it on the disc. 340 isn't terrible either, but it's sure small compared to 10,000.

not a bad (beginning) number for the next gen refresh of the series imo.

10,000, after how long though? 2-3 years?

340 cars beginning is more than enough.

At least a good part of that 10,000 will be DLC, methinks.

Sounds like thats the list of cars they have permission or whatever to use in the future as downloadable content. It notes only 340 cars will be in the game GT5.

I've not been keeping up on this game, so forgive me, but have they said anything one way or another about damage on the cars? Not that Forza 2's is very realistic or anything, but I'm interested in knowing for sure. There's too much info out here.

10 000 cars?

That would be only possible if they could every single car with a different sticker on it.
No way it's 10 000 different cars, i would even doubt 1000 different cars. Who can believe in making us swallow this bullshit?

Is it a telling sign that whenever good news, or something LIKE it appears for PS3 games, the thread suddenly pops up with plenty of ignored users on my list?

I know this is the GT5 topic, but I just got around to playing the GT4:HD demo again, and holy shit...still blows me away and so much damn fun.

Fun thing I did that shows the little details they put in - I changed it to the outside camera and used the lookback view so that I could see through the windshield as I drove forward. Holy shit - you could see all the slight variations of the drivers hands on the steering wheel, his head moved with the bumps, and he even turns his head toward the direction of the turn you are entering.

It's the little shit that gets me. :lol

I rather have smart programming like this than having 'real brute programming' that makes the final product look like ass. The lighting is surreal.
The "surreal"lighting is the reason why PGR can't fit day/night cycles on the DVD. Photo-sourced textures will include all the nice photorealistic base lighting - which of course looks great, as long as you are ok with not varying lighting conditions much.
