Rockstar Table Tennis was an absolutely awesome game. Still play it from time to time.
These new screenshots look absolutely amazing and I am really looking forward to it. I hope (and think) Rockstar looked at RDR and takes a lot of what RDR did right in the open world and do that with GTAV
It should be fun. Which is the reason I play games. I don't have time to play every game so if I'm going to dedicate 40 hours to V it better be fun. If it's a chore like IV count me out.

That makes no sense though, you'd think they'd want to do that BEFORE the release of SD. And for 15-20 million people that buy the games, screen releases like this are a drop in the bucket when it comes to marketing. A very small fraction of the major GTA purchasers will see these.

Seems like you have a problem with the franchise. I don't know why you'd assume that there's more chores from looking a pictures with tennis, dirtbiking and parachuting.

low frame rate, massive pop ins, jaggies, low resolution, crap textures, jaggy low res shadows are some of the tech features of the console version.
This makes me very happy.
Biking off the top of the mountain just got a lot less fun...

Double dip. Play the console version while PC gamers complain about the delay, then buy the PC version when it's 1/2 off.
Also: Playing it day 1. Which is the only thing that matters.

Sounds like every game I've bought this generation. Steam is more an archive of games than library for me with console games.
Oddly, I just rebought RDR yesterday because I gave up on the PC version.

Because I remember how annoying IV was with its NPC crap. I didn't have a problem with the franchise before IV. The picture with tennis seems to smack of a dating type thing.

Looking at these screenshots just makes me want next gen even more. I can't wait for next gen GTA's. The screenshots look pretty good though. Although the rocks in a few places look kind of.... shiny or something.

No way. It won't be after April 2013. This will be out before the new consoles are announced. They don't want to release it on an "old generation".
Oh, I see. Yeah, I loathed the "let's go see some teetees, cousin" too. I don't know. I think (and hope) it's just a mini game that you can choose to ignore.
