New GTA V screens: Leisure

In most cases I despise mini games (especially those in IV), but if done well, a little Top Spin in my GTA would be excellent.

November 23rd release..believe.

People are giving these screenshot a HUGE pass for being GTA V.

Any other game would have been laughed at for those graphics.

Kudos to Rockstar for sticking with the 'No bullshots' policy.
People aren't giving them a pass, they're just not talking about them graphically, because they don't care.

The reality is all I care about is how it looks on my TV.

I'll admit that R* games sometimes look bad in screenshots.

But I don't play screenshots so zooming in on textures and the like seems a bit obsessive to me.

The trailer looked good so I have no worries over this thing in motion.

I don't think we need a new thread every time they release some screens if they're only days apart, no?

The DoF applied in the first shot is a bit funky, but eh. I like the variety in these shots. If the final game can deliver that, I think a lot of people will look dumb for having defended GTA IV's super narrow approach for so long.

We do need them, it's Grand Theft Auto.

This really is looking more and more like a return to what made SA so great with every screen released. Don't disappoint me this time, Rockstar!

If you notice at the first of the trailer the guy speaking says he moved out here, and "bought a big house." Hopefully we will be able to buy mansions with tennis courts, etc. That would rock.

Yep, GTA: SA wasn't the best "looking" game but it was probably the pinnacle of PS2 gaming. If you focus on textures and zoom in on laundry detergent containers you're doing gaming wrong.

Why are people dumb for enjoying a game?

Everything still looks like clay. Screens give a good impression of great scale though, and I'm happy they're nailing home the rural areas. Given Rockstar's budget, I expect this game to be so detailed and full of content it's disgusting.

Really enjoyed Rockstar Table Tennis so hopefully the tennis shot means there's a minigame.

Anyway, loving the look of the game so far. I'm betting on March (or maybe May) 2013 but I'm day 1 no matter when this comes out.

They use their budget awesomely though. Tennis for example, they can afford to actually build an entertaining tennis game within their real game. So rad. Detail isn't going to add to the fun factor all that much. It should all be on the simulation, and activities I think.

This.

It´s the scale I´m most excited about. Jumping on my bike in LA and driving into the countryside/woods/mountains - can´t wait.

They look very fine to be running on 7 years old hardware, if these were PC shots i'd agree with you.
Shitty honest screenshots = bullshots anyway. (not that these are shitty, anyway)

What matters is how it looks on my tv and it will look good with the viewing distance i play with.

god damn, if they just threw the gauntlet down and said we're launching in the middle of nov that would be awesome.

It would also be one of the biggest megatons ever. Would love to see something like that happen, but in reality you know they are going to want a long marketing campaign into next year.

Dat 360 console screenshot that is only indicative of the 7 year old 360 version and not what the game will look like on modern PC hardware.

That doesn't look like what the current consoles are capable of at all. It looks more like PS2/GCN-era level graphics. Those trees look absolutely hideous. I thought the trees in SS looked bad...

I for one applaud Rockstar for once again increasing the stuff you can do in GTA.

One step closer to that life simulator that I am dreaming about.

Although the photorealistic graphics will need a gen or two more.....

No because I've only heard horror stories with those games. I actually played and platinumed Infamous 2 and it runs soooo bad. They clearly tried to push as much graphical and physics stuff as possible at the expense of a decent running game.

Really hard to take you seriously when you say stuff like this. You can't make absolute statements if you aren't wholly informed bro.

I'd like to think playing the game for 20+ hours, more since getting a platinum required 2 runs, is more than enough to be informed. I'm also a PC gamer so I'm more sensitive to bad running console games like that. The game chugged heavily when any decent action was going on.
