New Halo: CEA screen shots.

Mm-mm, looking sexy and sleek as hell. Those changes sound pretty sensible too; particularly the nerfing of armour lock.
 
That Headlong shot looks sexy. I imagine it'll look like this in-game though:

As for the Sword block change, I hope that they don't allow you to attack directly from sprint with it to compensate for that change. Otherwise the Sword just got a whole lot more frustrating.

Edit: Aww, looks like the skies are all orange with the destruction of a city in the background? I liked the blue skies in the still shot.

It kind of defeated the purpose of stickies to have them removed. Nah, armour lock will be a damage absorption tool now instead of a catch all pause button on everything.

lol The sword block was a terrible addition in Reach. Blocking a sword with anything but a sword is random at best, and it neuters the sword in where it's suppose to be optimal. Can you block a sniper? A shotgun?

Im in complete disagreement here. Blocking sword was one of the best additions to Halo. Successive attempts at blocking sword lunges are futile after the intial block. Also gives me a chance and reduces the amount of unskilled sword kills.

I've NEVER been a fan of the sword, Reachs implementation of it is the best, of what seems to be a horrid multiplayer weapon.

Yes. My problem is i can't play FPS games on console. I suck so much. That's why I'd love to see the halo franchise coming to PC too. Not xbox only. I'd buy two copies.

So this means Armor Lock doesn't beat the Plasma Launcher forever anymore? That's somewhat sad.

You can still engage it before the sticky thing hits you, right?
 
Headlong looks good, Chief looks MUCH better and the TU is good. I just wish they would make melee three-hit kill, because sprinting and double beatdown is rage-worthy.

The shield bleedthrough should help with that.

LOL, remember sprint+dubmelee in the beta? That shit was the ultimate weapon.

It's better now with melee bleed though. You can get like 3 shots on the sprinter and still simultaneous melee and kill him. Sprinting melee is going to be a lot less frequent I imagine.

In Reach as it is, when you have ANY shield remaining, a melee is going to attack the shield alone. With bleedthrough, it means it's going to do shield and health damage.

Wow that second picture looks awesome, Chief's armor is sexy.

I can't fucking wait for Headlong, what a great map that is.

In Halo: Reach you had to pop their shields to kill them with a melee. Now if their shields are low enough you can just kill them with a melee without poping thier shields.

So if you see someone sprinting at you just shot them a bit and hit them and they shouldn't be able to get that 2nd melee off.
 
HEADLONG REMAKE?! AAAAAAAAAHaAAHAHAHHAA!

I've been wanting this since Halo 2! My favorite map in Halo. Now I'm going to have to pick this up AND renew my Live sub. ;_;
 
CEA is looking really, really nice. I love the image quality in those screens, assuming it is actually a sharper cleaner image than Reach, as it seems to be.

Also, Breakneck is looking great! I'm glad they decided to do Headlong, finally Reach will have some more decent MP maps. Weird they havent showed off Hang em High yet.. I wonder when they plan to do it.
