I love my samsung chromebook.

Problem is it's so good I have zero legitimate reason to upgrade.

Woudln't trade mine for my gfs macbook air even.

Love the look of the HPs and I've been wanting a Chromebook (as I currently don't have a working personal laptop at all and really no need for a "real" laptop for that use), but 4lbs.? Yikes. Not sure if want. Also, the resolution is the same on the 14" HP as the Acer, which seems a bit low, but may work out better for me as I already scale my stuff larger in Windows.

I'm in the same boat. I'll prob buy some sort of portable computer this winter and I hope it's a chromebook. However, 4 lbs seems heavy.

Toshiba's Chromebook finally revealed, seems pretty cool if you can't stand the small-ish sizes of the 11 inchers.

The Verge: Toshiba's Chromebook brings a touch of class to Chrome OS (hands-on)

  • Haswell Celeron
  • 2 GB RAM
  • 16 GB SSD
  • 13-inch, 1366 x 768 screen
  • 3.3 pounds
  • 0.8 inches thick
  • $279.99

Toshiba while not OMG or anything looks way nicer than the Acer. I just wish we had a smaller variant. I'd prefer an 11" Model that looks like that.

Either way I'm waiting on that Samsung refresh before I make my decision.
