New HQ Witcher 3 character models

I find it kind of silly that people are tearing apart the armor for the females in this game when this is actually ridiculously tame compared to what's out there in some MMO and other RPGs.

So we should go complain about those instead and give CDPR a free pass?

For the last time, the only reason we're still discussing that at all is because people felt the need to continue defending it ad nauseum.

This could have ended had dissenters simply posted "yeah, I disagree, and here's why, but you're entitled to your opinion" this would have been over many pages ago.

And that is fine. But can you at least try to understand why some other people would?
Sure, and I still have a different opinion.
Except that disliking her cleavage is a different matter from claiming that her armor "doesn't make sense". Which is where the argument started in the first place.

Actually, it's even worse than that, it started with Teramap jumping on me with a rant against impractical armors when I was actually talking about impractical dressing in general. In fact, I was referring to the Dragon Age female mage, not to armors of any kind.
On a side note, he (she?) never even addressed that mistake, just kept going with the subsequent posts.

I know this isn´t the thread for this, but is it ok to play this game without having played the first or second one?

I´m extremely interested since The Witcher 2 but I don´t have a gaming PC nor do I have a 360.

They'll provide recaps of the story and they designed it for newcomers as well. That being said, you'll enjoy the story more if you play or watch the games and read the books.

So what's the arugment about? (I kind of skimmed)

I assume it's the redhead?
I usually get pretty annoyed by these types of things but her outfit didn't seem bad to me.

It's not even about a character from this game, but Saskia from The witcher 2. She happens to wear a cleavage while wearing an armor. There was a discussion on whether the design of the armor was dumb or unrealistic. Armors like that existed in real life, and are not to blame if the person wearing it leaves the top or their gambeson open so we can see their chest. If anything she was made to be wearing it wrong, but the design of the armor was sound.

They did say they were going to make it easy to follow up on for those who haven't played the previous titles. I'm sure they'll run through the background when you start the game. You can always trust CDPR.

The previous games are amazing anyway, so I'd still recommend at least playing just TW2 if you can as that game is a masterpiece (TW1 will feel pretty outdated and you may not enjoy it now). But to answer your question, do you need to? No not at all. But you'll definitely enjoy it more if you do.

Kind of weird that you'd want to jump into Witcher 3 without playing Witcher 1 and 2.

It's almost like reading Return of the King before Fellowship of the Ring (or not even reading FoTR). Well, not as bad because CDProjecktRed does somewhat self-contained arcs + summary of prior games.

Yeah, sexualized armour in game is a terrible trend. I don't know which is worse: the fact that someone out there actually chooses to equip sexualized armour on their character in-game, or that an art lead decided that this is the best look for a female character.

That said, she's no Quiet, though. That shit is literally the worst character design I've ever seen...

This thread is just ridiculous ... a female characters in a video-game has a great looking armor but has a not so big cleavage (the reason why is clearly explained in the game and it suits her character) and everyone is addressing nothing else just the cleavage.. most people who played W2 didn't had a problem with that.. why? Because a normale human (adult) being doesn't see a problem where there isn't one..
Saskia is a great female character and one that other games wish to have (if they would like to have a strong female character)

Just can bash W1 for the sex cards, but bashing on W2 because of the design of Saskia ? God, people please be reasonable
