Yeah, NeverWet leaves a white haze on things and it's not very durable. You wouldn't want to use it on clothing you don't want looking and feeling kinda gunky.

Well, there's a slight inaccuracy to this: Surface oxides will definitely destroy the hydrophobic properties over time, as will surface fouling (ie. getting dirty). Otherwise, it's pretty cool. It's similar to the special hydrophobic fabrics that you can buy at various stores.
