Me being hyped put aside, as a kingdom hearts fan since 2003, i don't understand people wanting marvel or star wars on kh serie, it would not fit at all if you ask me. Kingdom hearts 2 had tron and potc in it, it was kind of messy and out of place. The first kingdom hearts was a piece of art because disney's classic universe mixed really well with square enix. Adding every ip that disney and square enix own just for the sake of it is not something to wish imo.

From what I heard the game could be ready for 2016 christmas. Now my opinion is that it won't release until ffxv has been milked out with dlc. If ffxv is still profitable by 2016 christmas, i could see them release kh3 later in 2017 since the twp games share pretty much the same audience.

It just wouldn't fit because KH has never had any of that. KH has never been about themes like destiny or being chosen by a mysterious power either. It's not like KH has a backstory featuring a long lost order of powerful and noble knights trained to fight the darkness and protect myriad worlds. I just don't see why anyone would think Star Wars could fit in the established canon of KH.

Exactly. I mean it would be one thing if the creators of KH were huge Star Wars fanboys who named side characters in their FF games after characters from the OT, but I don't think that's the case...

I don't think he means storywise. He's probably talking how fucked up are the live-action worlds aesthetically compared to the rest of the game.
