Hoping the game's first episode contains at least 3 worlds.

Here's hoping the coincidence is true. The only world i've pretty much ever wanted in KH is one related to Star Wars.

Don't do this to me, Square.
DOn't split up a huge, proper Kingdom Hearts game.

I just got 2.5 Remix and am replaying II 10 years later and it's HUGE.
And then halfway through the game you think it's about to end and you realize you can still revisit every world and you're *maybe* halfway through the plot.

Don't smack me in the face with "To Be Continued."

If you're gonna tweet something like that, post a time and a time zone please.

Kingdom Hearts would never go for the easy to understand route.

I dunno man. KH2 is prolly about 35 hour game (and a ton of it is cutscenes) or something and completionist run for vanilla is probably 50. It's a big game but far from huge.

That's actually one thing I love about KH, it usually has minimal really boring filler for most of the game.

KH trailer releases are consistently bad, in terms of timing.

They either keep them hidden for months or fail to communicate properly when we will get a new one.

They could have created a counter, or set a date. It's very annoying.

Maybe they're trying to avoid getting hammered? Though, it's on Youtube...

Man, I hope we get a trailer that leaves us just completely confused.

Remember the 2 years of pre release footage around KHII?
When the only things we knew were a couple vague trailers and the hidden "Another Side, Another Story" video.

"Who is DWU? Is he BHK!?"

Come to think of it...
I'm replaying KHII right now in the HD Collection, and I just realized that, after 10 years and probably about 3.5 playthroughs of the game, there's still a line really early on I don't get at all.

On the very First Day, maybe 20 minutes into the game, when Roxas chases the Dusk to the Old Mansion and has the vision that gives him the keyblade for the "first" time, who is speaking, and who is being spoken to?

"We have come for you, my liege."

Is it the Dusk, speaking to Roxas as though
he's still a member of the Organization
and therefore his "commanding officer?"

I guess the way the line was presented in "Deep Dive" combined with the word "liege" always made me think it had something to do with Mickey.

That was the impression I got, yes. The only other person being spoken to I could imagine
would be Sora, but there's no reason for a Dusk to call him "my liege."

Yes that was the dusk speaking to Roxas.

Hah, memories. But i don't think we need a purposely obscure trailer to have us confused about KH plots at this point lol.

The nobody is talking to Roxas, your assumption is correct.

Like most things in those early "concept" videos, stuff got rearranged around and their original meaning/purpose might have been lost.

Recall that in Deep Dive, before "Roxas" materializes in front of the rock you can briefly see the Heartless symbol. Also recall, that same Org member wears the standard Org footwear (boots), and not the sneakers that "Roxas" wears earlier in the vid as he battles Heartless.

Yes it's also been confirmed that the phrases they used were just to sound mysterious and then when they actually made the game the inserted those in the dialogue/scenario etc.

Which led to some awkward exchanges. Axel saying, "What took you so long, Kairi" just didn't fit within the context of the scene it was used in no matter how you look at it.

Since the trailer today will likely be Olympus, I was thinking about what I wanted from the Olympus story. Hercules was my top 90s Disney Musical hands down. A great film. I think you could pretty much adapt it straight.

So you start with finding the Colosseum early. Do a tutorial tournament, and use this to reintroduce Meg, Phil, and Hercules. As you leave have the gang overhear Meg talk to Hades. There you go, story set up.

Mid game you get a distress call from Olympus or something and go to help. You fight your way to the top killing things and what not. As you're climbing you get cutscenes showing the Hades/Hercules content with Herc losing his powers. Defeat a titan or 2 with Zeus chucking lightning bolts above you. You then get overrun and have to flee Olympus to find Hercules.

At this point I can see two things happening. One they'll have Thedas in the backdrop for Olympus and it will serve as a battle arena for Cyclops Titan, or two you'll fight Cyclops at the colosseum. Depends on how much work they want to do. Anyway give Herc a pep talk, fight Cyclops, and watch Meg die. You go to the underworld Hercules makes his deal with Hades and jumps in the river. Hades boss fight or maybe a story character. Herc is now a God, so you go clean up shop at Olympus with God Herc in your party.

10/10 no refunds (tbh I don't remember what happened in the underworld in kh2, so I'm not sure if that contradicts any of this, was Herc a God in kh2?)
