New Kirby: Epic Yarn Trailer

The JP release date is 10/14, and the NA is within 3 days?

So does that mean NA first (10/11) or do we get another Sunday special (10/17)?

Weekend purchase either way.

The latter. Though don't read too much into that; FlingSmash, M vs DK, and DKCR are also on Sundays (7th, 14th, 21st).

This will be the Yoshi's Island of this gen. You guys mark my words. So beautiful.

Let's not forget Yoshi's Island had the gameplay! Haven't been following this, just hope the gameplay is up to snuff.

Considering it's being made by Good Feel, I don't doubt the gameplay one bit.

It's primarily aimed at children, those thinking the game will be anything but a cakewalk for longtime gamers are kidding themselves.

I know. So I only plan on getting it to play with specific people in mind.

Right I'm sure Nintendo's gonna abandon their philosophy of designing games that are accessible for new players but still feature challenging extra content for seasoned gamers and make a game that only appeals to teh kiddiez and grandmaz, because you said so.

That is definately not the impression I got from the trailer...quite the opposite.

All Kirby games have been easy, so I don't see what's the problem.

Sakurai will prolly be listed as "executive producer" or something

and what is with Nintendo and sperm-shaped thingies? :lol

Thanks for the video, this looks like a fun local co-op platformer that I can play with the family. I have hope there's a more challenging mode hidden somewhere, else I would get bored with an easier game.

This and that it's not being developed by HAL Labs. That's a BIG worry for me.
It's by Feel Good, who developed Wario land the Shake Dimension. That was was rather awesome (at least IMO) so I'm not worrying too much.

Beautiful animation, and such a unique look. So glad Nintendo is turning the Wii into a sort of SNES 2 with all these new 2D platformers. :D

Yea sorry, I hated that game. Not an accolade that's supporting my anticipation for this game, that's for sure.

Whoah, really? But isn't Kirby like....their thing?
I don't care from a gameplay perspective, because that video actually showed off what looks like some clever and fun level design, but I find that interesting.

Ah fair enough, I guess I can see why that game wouldn't be to everyone's taste.

It defiantly looks like a completely different style of gameplay to traditional Kirby games (like Canvas Curse) and I hope they can make a new Wii game like Kirby Superstar/Fun pak one day, but at this point I'll take whatever Kirby I can get.

True enough and to be fair, I'm going to get this game regardless, but I do have my concerns. I could be wrong about my expectations and HAL are somewhat involved, so there will be some creative control, so to speak. We'll see how it goes.

Uh...

Niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice. :lol

And good on that Super Mario Collection, too. I'll definitely be finding a way to cop that. Especially the JP version, since NoA can't be counted on giving us nice bonuses like that. :lol
