Like I said in the Direct thread, graphically, the game looks really amazing. Very impressed and that's how I always pictured Mario Kart looking in HD. But I'm a little concerned about the lack of modes coming off Mario Kart 7 (which was incredibly barebares - very disappointing). I hope there are MK DS-like missions or Sonic Racing Transformed career mode type stuff going on. Something to do when not playing with friends.

Ugh...looks like fucking retarded tricks are back...and before anyone says, "B-b-b-ut the tricks are cool - why do you hate them?!" My worry is that MK is becoming too focused on the meta game (hang gliding, tricks, drift boosting, zero-G loops, etc.) and not enough on the actual racing aspect.

And it makes me not want to play it.

Unfortunately, being a Mario Kart game essentially guarantees the racing aspect is going to be unremarkable, too, since the last ten seconds are anyone's game due to rubber banding and items.


Major props to Nintendo for upping that visual fidelity, though! Looks surreal!

F*** yeah, they finally made the airport track that I have wanted for years. And the new Sky Garden-like track with the Gusty Garden remix looks glorious.

But the new Smash Bros trailer now makes me want to see Kirby in, I have been spoiled !

7 was rushed out for christmas. Doesn't excuse the lack of single player vs and other things tho.
