Courtesy of the fine people over at Mill Creek! I know some fans out there hate that new theme from seasons 3-11 but supposedly MC has acquired the rights for seasons 1 & 2 in a two pack or individually on January 21st. It hasn't been confirmed if the theme song will be on future sets but at least it looks promising.

I'm excited for the news on future releases.

I record the reruns that air on TBS to watch every morning. The show still holds up. Gonna have to pick these up.

Finally the greatest comedy series of all time gets the set it deserves.

There's a division chief at my job that looks so exactly like Al Bundy, even SOUNDS like Al Bundy, that everybody calls him Al Bundy. It's so surreal to me every time he comes into a room since I've never seen someone look so close to a celebrity without actually being the celebrity in question.

He has the worst temper though so nobody likes him at work

Chocohooters!

Could someone post the "new theme" I'm not sure what the dif is. I do remember catching some episodes on tv and hearing a generic sounding version of the one posted in the OP. Is that it?

I'm beginning to really like Mill Creek. I think they have The Cosby Show seasons 1 coming out next year in its original broadcast form instead of having that 2005 release of syndicated episodes.

Thanks guys. I remember catching some episodes on this bootleg public tv station and that theme song came on, thought to myself "wtf is that?!"

Should make sitcom noises whenever he enters a room. Start clapping and go oooh and stuff.

I've never heard that new theme on TV. Mind you, I watched the show when it was *new*... I think I've seen nearly every episode, maybe missed a few in the last season or two.

i never got why al was never inside of peggy every day. she's hot.

Everyone talked about Kelly, but I always wanted to bone Peg... And Jill Taylor

There's an interview with Ed and Katey where they state that it was 'part of the joke' that he didn't want to have sex with her.

While the theme music they put on the DVDs is an abomination, what the show really needs is something it can never get: a better source than the videotape it was recorded on. I bought the box set earlier this year and the video quality of the seasons goes from pretty bad to about as decent as you can get. Still a great show, though.

Freaking music industry. Any show with a distinct musical aspect always gets butchered due to rights issues.

I'm actually really surprised Miami Vice made it to DVD, the entire series, though perhaps a lot of that music was under the Universal label. I randomly thought about Cold Case, which still hasn't made it to DVD I don't think.

FOUR TOUCHDOWNS IN ONE GAME.

I totally want a Polk High shirt.

Kinda sad to see how young al (ed oneil) was.

His character on modern family is almost as if al bundy ended up going to college or something lol.

Al Bundy in the first 2 seasons is nothing like the Al Bundy in the later seasons that became a pop culture icon. He's too much of a nice guy gentleman.
