AVI files work with Windows, Linux, Mac and about anything with enough power to decode a video. I've specifically chosen to use avi/xvid just because it was free and multiplatform. Install VLC and be done with it.

I definitely think there are a few little bits of CG in the trailer itself. Some of the shiny, highly animated closeups with the dramatic camera work, for example. Can't confirm it, but it looks different enough from the actual real-time closeups (which are also in the trailer) to make me think they may be pre-rendered using in-game assets.

Shortly after E3 Phantagram said in a video interview that N3 would be released worldwide.

(at the time, he actually said that the Japanese version would be released first w/o live support and the NA version would come later w/ online multiplayer)

Yeah there's still a big distinction between the character models in CG and real-time scenes. Mainly stuff like the wizard girl with the DC-level angly hair has perfect hair in CG and the faces/clothing look better in the CG models.

The real-time cutscene stuff still looks kinda good, but in a lot of the real-time shots the characters didn't seem to really fit with the background. I didn't really pay attention to what made them stick out, but maybe there's no lighting?

The battle stuff looks great though. Simple, yet fun with good graphics. I'm looking forward to it.

Tengai Makyou Zirai? is that the Far East of Eden game? I will be in RPG heaven with my 360 and all the games coming out soon on the PS2 and this week with the games on the PsP..mmmm.
