In a dystopian future, an engineer trapped in a house and surrounded by a mysterious gang of masked intruders must protect a technology that could deliver unlimited energy and end the wars that have consumed the world.
The nicest thing I can say about XOXO is that Sarah Hyland is pretty. Thats it. It was a barrage of obnoxious and annoying shitty characters, cliche writing and dialogue, and obnoxious editing. And worst of all it was boring as fuck.
Rachael Taylor's character is absolutely insufferable so far. I hope she gets a power up or something later in the movie cause I can't keep going if her role in the film is just to fuck stuff up. I really liked her in Jessica Jones too.
EDIT: Yeah, this was just exhausting to watch. It doesn't do anything creative or interesting with the premise.
Watching the characters make the same dumb mistakes even though they know that time is repeating literally had me checking my watch constantly. Amell's character trusts Taylor's character, Taylor's character does something that fucks it up. Lather, rinse, repeat. They even have the same arguments with each other even though they're no longer mindlessly playing through the loop.
Even for a 90 minute movie this felt too long and almost put me to sleep.

fell right into Sonny's trap during the 'second' loop after Grimm/Father started remembering. They even suspected Sonny was up to something sending the guy to get them, but nope, walked right into it and got captured without any resistance. It's your house, Ren, you should know how to properly check the perimeter before moving on to the next area.
I liked it. I mean it doesn't break major new ground but it flows well and has cool world building without having to have massive exposition to explain everything.
Well already was going to watch but with no consensus opinon here I guess I will have to see it sounds like there is a 50/50 chance to wether I will love or hate this.
I just checked the trailer, and no, that's not the ending.
The ending technically is in the trailer, hilariously, but not obviously. There's a twist to the way memories work in the loop, so the scene of Hannah remembering in the trailer is actually maybe twenty minutes into the film? Various characters remember the loop eventually, she's the second.
edit - but to answer whether it's worth watching, I dunno. I feel you'd have to already groove to this concept to enjoy it. There's not much of a film here, for anybody not already a genre fan. It's a pretty resourceful small budget sci-fi thing that does some decent world building and has some slick visuals, but also relies entirely on plot twists and relentless forward momentum (it starts to break down if you think about it for two seconds, and there's literally no science... the few times the characters have to take a stab at some kind of explanation for what's happening, the film never bothers to make an effort). The plot variations in the loops are built fairly well so it's fun for that, just to see what changes, but it's pretty much slick and disposable entertainment. All style no substance. Worth a look if you dig lo-fi sci-fi?

Welp, you've sold me. I can deal with that then! I really enjoy anything dealing with time loops and repeating situations with slight changes. Edge of Tomorrow was super fun. Source Code was entertaining but a bit depressing. Going through the same hallway over and over in the P.T. demo was enjoyable in an obsessive way. I'll check it out tonight then! Seems like I can just turn my brain off and follow the plot loops.
