. At the end of our interview, Kamitani allowed us to see a work-in-progress version of the exclusive art he was working on for the magazine. Neither Ignition Entertainment nor Play Magazine had given him any specific direction regarding what to paint: We wanted his creativity to flow freely.

Did you miss what I said about Kamitani's perversion? Look at all of his designs to this date. As early as Princess Crown even. Gradriel's sister's gone bad is one total dominatrix witch. And even recently, Velvet herself is pretty risque in Odin Sphere. Finally, we've seen tons of well endowed ladies in Muramasa. This is just simply the man's artistic vision.

WE used the artwork because it was a special piece created exclusively for us. If I personally was in charge of Play, I'm not 100% sure if I'd have the guts to go through with using the art, but let's be honest; this won't be the first (or last) time something we've done will have caused a little controversy.

Man, self-censorship sucks almost as much as normal censorship, to me. If Play had neglected this because they feared the reaction it'd get, I might never have seen it, and despite prudish opinions on sexuality being inherently evil and disgusting, I think it's a fantastic piece.

Obviously not everyone has that opinion. But I made it pretty clear it's my opinion, and frankly I'm of the belief arts should exist in all forms and we shouldn't fear having to display them. If all someone can see if perversion in this, then I feel sorry for them.

That cover is fucking ridiculous. I'm hardly offended, but at the same time it strikes me as kind of tacky for Play to use it as the cover, although the art quality itself is excellent.

I agree. It's certainly a gutsy move. However, I worry how the parents of the children who subscribe to the magazine are going to react (note: I'm not worried about the children, but their parents reaction).

I think it's a gorgeous cover personally, but, I know only a single person who I could show that picture to and not have them go "HOLY SHIT WTF IS GOING ON IN THAT PICTURE? BEASTIALITY HENTAI TENTACLE RAPE! WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU?", and that guy is pretty universally known as the office perv.

Gorgeous! Absolutely gorgeous! It's going up on the wall in my gaming room as soon as I have my next day off. Can't wait to play the game either but right now I am totally psyched about that sweet pre-order bonus!

Hopefully it starts a huge uproar about the game, giving it massive press, causing it to sell a million copies.

I think it's a beautiful piece and I'm glad PLAY put it on the cover. I loved the Persona art they had done, you guys always get the best exclusive covers.

I'm so happy to see this game getting a large push before release. I wish so bad I was in NY and could go to that party, it sounds awesome. Someone better take a ton of pictures!

The best part of Princess Crown is when you unlock Gradriel's adult form. Course it helps that you get it by beating up a woman with basketball-sized breasts.
