The JP Black and White trailers did this very often.
Japan hogs all the cool trailers. The international ones wish they were half as good as this.
Lol, I used to get a lot of views on YouTube and Bulbapedia would source me often for this kind of stuff. I'll link it up when I find time on my laptop.definitely not doubting you, but would anyone be able to dig up an example? would love to hear what that sounded like
Tans make everyone leather

I remember a playful and childish version of the Pokémon theme, along with the opening intro orchestrated of N's coronation
Thanks, that'd be great. Orchestrated N coronation sounds like it'd be pretty sweet![]()

but it is still related to the game ost. unless I read it wrong first, you're arguing that the song used in trailer isn't related to the game at all. doing a quick search on youtube mostly leads me to bw ost used in trailers, although I might missed a lot of those that doesn't use the ost sound like you said earlier
Amazing. It really is Liquid Oak, right down to the mane of blonde hair.LIQUIDD!!!!!
No, I'm talking about the soundfont in particular.
Pokémon trailers that have been marketed with different music are just arrangements from the music that actually is in the game. It just sounds much better than what's in the game.

^ For example, there's an orchestration of the main theme from BW not used in the game.
From the get go.

The opening track is not used in the game. This is a different version that sounds much more sophisticated than the in-game version.
Here's another snippet of trailer music not used in the game.

Shit man. This sounds so good.
The Termina of Pokemon. Someone's a Majora's Mask fan
Oh yeah, that does sound real good. Thanks! I've got no complaints about B/W's soundtrack really, but that's sort of a bummer. Could have at least thrown in those arrangements as bonus track on the OST, I dig them too much for them to get lost to obscurity like this.
Well, hopefully this'll become less of a thing once Game Freak ditches their uh, questionable soundfonts they're so fond of. Maybe on NX?
