New PS3 exclusive to be unveiled soon

This is going to be such a disappointment, I have my expectations set at -5 and I will still probably be let down.
No one should be disappointed at anything. If SNE is going to be there, they will likely have their '09 hitters there that we already know about (KZ2, iNFAMOUS, etc.)

The Rockstar game would be great. Team Bondi's LA Noire is multiplat and is high up on my wanted list for sure though.

I know L.A Noir is multiplat, but I remember they had a deal with Sony a while back as well, so it's still possible they might have another project.

I know about their exclusive project. I don't know if we will see the fruits of that partnership this year though.

CES is more about electronics. Last year the gaming division was a no show there.
Blu Ray and Tvs will be their focus again I guess.

exactly, I don't know why people always think games are there, they may be there to demonstrate some device but thats about it.

Even if Sony's Playstation brand may be in turmoil, at least we have a good collection of exclusives! :D

I don't expect it this year, but I'm still excited for L.A Noir

Great news! I love a lot of Sony's games and anything new from them is certainly exciting. I would love a new action RPG.

I am expecting disappointment, but we will see.
How many times do people do this..................................................

IT'S NOT DISAPPOINTMENT IF YOU EXPECT IT >.>

I dont even know what to expect, lol. Cant really be disappointed unless it is a LEGO game or something along those lines. Actually anything that uses a toy brand or comic brand or tv brand will be a disappointment :(

Then you, my friend, would be callin' it wrong :)

Not ready yet....getting there....but not quite yet ready to show what we are working on.

No...I am saying what WE are working on is too soon to show.

AND I am saying that you will not be seeing a new Twisted Metal announced because I am very aware of that franchise's standing- or lack of standing- within Sony and would know if that is being made (can not tell you that) and if that is being announced (I CAN tell you that it is not).

Just release a screen. If anyone asks, you can say I had you in bondage and was talking of doing horrible things to you if you didn't show me one.

They won't even continue asking :D

We have announcements, announcements of announcements and threads to announce coming announcements. Now we just need threads telling us of threads to come that will announce that there will be future announcements. We've got to stay on top of things.

See what you made me do? Now the very word announcement seems like the weirdest word ever to me.

It's a next-gen car combat game!

It runs through Scott Campbell's vein's!

So is it a Wii game?

On-Topic: Hopefully it's not like the other time with th 11 unannounced games.

The lack of car combat games this gen is surprising and really disappointing. It seems like the perfect genre for this gen of consoles with all the destruction you can have now.

I agree. Also a lack of extreme sports. Wheres the BIG series when you need it.

Motorstorm is probably the closest to that over the top, explosive type of gaming. But we need SSX yesterday.

Trico.

Or some PSN game called Disappointment-Total.

Who would've ever thought Sony would be the one ending up with the best first party? I expect it to be something decent.

Yeah, but I'd have a hard time paying $60 for the kind of destruction derby gameplay I seen from the genre so far. It would have to be a major next-gen rethinking.

Uh...doesn't Sony have the most development studios? Not surprising since they have focused on a 1st party strategy with the PS3 since Day 1. Either way...that's like your opinion...man. I Look forward to seeing what this game is about.

Those are the types of games i'd have no problem paying $60 for. They were always built with high replay value in mind. Obviously it'll need a next gen makeover, but i'd pay $60 for a remake of TM2 with online play.

Some have speculated that the new TM would go open world, but I still don't know if that's a good idea. Especially if they aren't able to pack it with a high number of combatants. I'd personally prefer the level based gameplay of the previous games but with really detailed destruction.

LA Noire has only ever been confirmed for PS3. Maybe Sony moneyhatted for once and kept it exclusive?

If Sony wanted LA Noire as an exclusive then they never would've dropped the game when they were publishing it.

Exclusive or not, LA Noire is being built on the PlayStation® 3 by a former Sony dev team.
If they have to port it over to the other console that's their publishers decision.

This.. so I wouldn't be hoping for any game unveilings there.. wait for GDC.

not the best example but what engine would yall prefer the devs use for Twisted Metal... I'm 90% sure they'll use Warhawk engine......but I would have loved to see what the Motorstorm engine could have done for Twisted Metal (with all its vehicle destruction ability) or a brand new built from the ground up engine...

maybe a Destruction Derby PSN game running the Motorstorm engine..... that engine seems too good to be used for just one series....

:lol I read your comment before I read your screen name. I was thinking, "who the fuck is this guy, David Jaffe?" ...

Well, that was major bubble burstage. This game needs to be made.

The new "ICO" game will not be announced even some dutch magazine, get real people. Famitsu or whatever will get the scoop on that. I expect garbage to come out of this.
