New(?) Saint's Row Footage: They cleaned up the framerate

So you can have a crew? :lol

Anyways, looks like they decided to move development to the PS3 cause everybody knows the 360 isnt capable of that kind of physics.

You consider that to be impressive? lol.

:lol @ the guy getting decked by a flying panel at the end of the clip.

check out burnout, hl2, and now black... different games, all better physics than seen above on inferior hardware.

Ill have to disagree.

I have played all but the last 2 burnouts and the crashes dont have nearly the kind of objects being thrown around, and the most impresive ones are done in slow motion.

HL2, HL2 Xbox shows only 1 object at a time being controlled by physics, and its kind of slow motion from what I played of the PC version.

Black, looks awesome, but when you get past particle effects and smoke, I saw a rocket blow up a car, with only 2 tires flying out of the explosion. I saw a grenage blow up 2 pillars that broke where they were already pre-broken, didnt fall in line with the blast and broke into unrealistic pieces when they hit the ground, with many of the pieces just dissapearing in the smoke. And I saw a phone booth withstand a rocket impact that destroyed a car elsewhere.

In Row there are like 30+ items in motion at one time, ripped from vehilces, interacting with each other in mid air, interacting and destroying the surounding enviroment and effecting the player aswell.

It just seemed on another level to me.

Bad animation, average textures, great physics, great shadowing. Too bad it's not at all a type of game I enjoy.

I still don't understand why games like this don't seem to allow you to blow up walls and buildings - especially when you are using a rocket launcher. Luckily - the Outfit is going to be all about fully destructible environments.

And - I had to laugh - like every other video game ever made - there are crates lying around. I have never understood why there are so many crates in the world of video games. In real life, I can go days or weeks at a time without seeing a crate. In the world of video games, they are everywhere. :lol

Does this game add anything new to the GTA clone genre gameplay wise?

The graphics look decent, to be honest, considering the scope of the game. But the gameplay looks generic and stale.

Man, those are some horrible animations and the transitions from one to the other are also really bad. On the plus side it has some decent physics but i doubt this is gonna end up anywhere near as good as GTA.

Yeah, it looks like a GTA ripoff.. but it looks like a FUN GTA rip off. Dont get me wrong, I like to play new gaming experiences... but a fun game is a fun game.

Although, given that Im getting 5 launch games and one of them is oblivion I think I'll likely have too much going on to play this.

Gamefly approves of this statement. My Gamefly motto

"For games that aren't good enough to own, but are worth a couple of weekends."

Bad GTA ripoff. A good week is all I need with this game. Does anybody else notice that this game doesn't have any life to it?

I'd have to agree with Blim.

Bad animation, good shadows, good frame rate, nice physics, ok textures. But unless this game nails the mission structure and storyline, I won't be picking this game up.

Even though GTA PSP looks a lot worse, I'm much more excited for it based on the one minute trailer shown online, even though I've seen that huge 10 minute saints row trailer and now this.

Mrbob are you my inner conscience ? *looks at air in question* Can't you just feel the low production value this game could have?
